Fitbit Update: 8/15
Hey all!
This week we released the option to opt-in to use the new dashboard to everyone. At this time, everyone should have received the option to opt-in already. If you didn't opt-in, we will transition everyone into the new dashboard in the coming weeks.
A reminder, after you've opted into the new design you cannot revert and go back to the old one. Read more about the new interface we've designed here: What’s the new Fitbit app experience?
Make sure you're also on the latest version of the Fitbit app.
Thanks for your patience while we completely released the new interface to everyone. We hope you're enjoying the improvements that have been made and appreciate all the feedback.
Fitbit Update: 8/6
Hey everyone!
Thanks for all your feedback on the new dashboard design. We're still in the process of releasing it to all of our users. If you don't see it yet, you will have it pushed to you in the coming weeks! This has been a slow process for the past few months to ensure a smooth rollout.
We're currently on app version 3.3, so please make sure as always that you have the latest version of the Fitbit app.
Once we've released this new dashboard to everyone, we will announce it in this thread.
Fitbit Update: 6/17
Hi Fitbit Family,
We are still rolling out our updated Fitbit app design to more users currently with v.2.95. Please make sure to update the Fitbit app by visiting the App store if you haven't already. If you don't see the new dashboard just yet, you will be receiving it at some point in the coming weeks.
Thanks so much for your patience throughout this rollout. To read more about this new dashboard experience, please check this article out: What’s the new Fitbit app experience?
Once this rollout is complete, we will let you all know in this thread.
Fitbit Update: 5/22
Hi everyone!
We’ve rolled out another phase of testing for the new app dashboard experience. If you’re one of the lucky people to see it before the full release, you can read more about it here: What’s the new Fitbit app experience?
We’ll continue to slowly release this to all Fitbit customers on iOS and Android. Once we receive more information on this, we’ll let you know.
Hope you’re all enjoying this new layout!
Fitbit Update: 4/24
Hi everyone!
Beginning today with app v2.92, we're excited to announce a new dashboard experience for the Fitbit app, currently by invitation only. If you are invited to opt-in, you can see the new design and try our new app experience to access all your stats and information in a way that’s more dynamic, integrated, and highly personalized.
You can read more about it in this help article: What's the new Fitbit app experience?
As with all our new dashboard updates, this is a progressive rollout. If you don't have an invitation or see the dashboard immediately, you will receive it later on.
We will update this thread with more information later, so stay tuned!

Agreed. Why would they reduce the amount of information? At least let me choose how much information I want to see.

It makes even less sense when we have no idea where you see this
I don't understand. The dashboard gives the same info plus also now displays the challenges as you the Fitbit users have requested.
True things may not be as customizable now. But the previous horrible dashboard (the one you claim to like) when first released also was not ' editable... I posted above links to many pages that explain how horrible your loved dashboard is.

@Rich_Laue With all due respect to your extensive experience and support of the Fitbit community over the years (it truly is remarkable and greatly appreciated), can I humbly suggest that you step back a moment and consider how some people may be interpreting some of your responses to the complaints here?
A number of times you've pointed to prior instances of similar situations with prior releases of the software, and how people complained about those releases. The implicit message seems to be either "you'll get used to it" or "you just don't understand," which is (a) pretty dismissive of the fact that people are feeling negatively affected by the changes, and (b) in some ways actually making things worse by pointing out that Fitbit has a history of suddenly rolling out disruptive changes to the app.
Again, you're incredibly helpful so many times when you problem solve issues for users, but in this case, I think a certain amount of "fanboyism" isn't improving things for people.

Thank you very much for your response to the other poster. I was feeling
exactly as you stated, assaulted, insulted & disparaged. I would never have
gone on this forum again and in fact perhaps even bought another devise if
this had been the last post I received. I am a new owner of a fit bit. I
did not buy it & never would have. It was purchased as a present from
extremely caring relatives who were trying to assist me to improve my
fitness after being almost bullied to death by my manager. Due to the
significant effect of trauma on my body, and brain it therefore took me
lot of hard work to understand and use the IT component successfully.
Sudden unexpected changes, with out instructions, that do not improve my
ability to use and understand the information I have been finding useful
are not helpful. Other people suggested the option of rolling back as they
also did not find the new version helpful. At the moment I now suspect
fitbit is discreetly modifying the app in response to our complaints as
every night there appear to be subtle changes to lay out etc. In the last
24 hours sleep has been further altered. The blue screen with colours and
sleep cycles graphed is now even further hidden and much smaller. As a
person who finds the raw data much more useful, when did I wake / sleep,
move in and out of sleep stages, this is the most valuable screen for me.
A random number in a circle does not indicate the real quality of the sleep
or assist in managing intrusions such as noise and light that can be
identified via the raw data. Thank you once again recovery runner for your
care and concern. You have given me faith in humans caring for humans so I
will persevere a little longer. Sharing how I personally use the app in
case this assists others. Not saying everyone has to do the same as me.

Now I’ve hit the “Active challenge limit”. It seems that completed challenges are just hanging around and being counted to the active count in the new app. There is no way to delete/remove those historic challenges.
This is a seriously poor release even if we ignore the issues with the look and feel.
The active challenge count is a basic function. If it’s not working then both the app and device become useless as you cease to be a part of a community. It is the community that motivates us. Fitbit are doing their best to ensure we go elsewhere.

I’m up to v. 3.2 and still have old dashboard. Why does it get “rolled out” instead of just released like other updates?

I’ve got an iPhone XR, so I don’t think “old phone” is the issue.

Great post Donottemember and I so agree with what you have written and I agree that Richarddorfform's reply was much appreciated and also reaffirmed my faith in the humanity.
Thank you both

Until now, my Dashboard is still not updated ... ...
May I know if there is any reasonable reason?

I can't say how reasonable the excuse is for Fitbit users however Fitbit is usually overly cautious in releasing changes. This is because of major update failures in the past.

I’m experiencing the same issue. I have a XR with iOS 12.4. My Fitbit app is up to date and the App Store indicates the new layout should be in this update. Yet I’m still on the old layout...

Hello @SunsetRunner as mentioned above, the app update is not related to the User Interface update.
The UI is being rolled out through the Fitbit server, while the app update is released through the app store.
Fitbit needed to make a decision as to what screen shots they will show in the store but this decision has nothing to do with the release timming of the ui

I thought previous version was good for users.
But, that’s the point; perhaps developers and FitBit wanted more.
