Fitbit Update: 8/15
Hey all!
This week we released the option to opt-in to use the new dashboard to everyone. At this time, everyone should have received the option to opt-in already. If you didn't opt-in, we will transition everyone into the new dashboard in the coming weeks.
A reminder, after you've opted into the new design you cannot revert and go back to the old one. Read more about the new interface we've designed here: What’s the new Fitbit app experience?
Make sure you're also on the latest version of the Fitbit app.
Thanks for your patience while we completely released the new interface to everyone. We hope you're enjoying the improvements that have been made and appreciate all the feedback.
Fitbit Update: 8/6
Hey everyone!
Thanks for all your feedback on the new dashboard design. We're still in the process of releasing it to all of our users. If you don't see it yet, you will have it pushed to you in the coming weeks! This has been a slow process for the past few months to ensure a smooth rollout.
We're currently on app version 3.3, so please make sure as always that you have the latest version of the Fitbit app.
Once we've released this new dashboard to everyone, we will announce it in this thread.
Fitbit Update: 6/17
Hi Fitbit Family,
We are still rolling out our updated Fitbit app design to more users currently with v.2.95. Please make sure to update the Fitbit app by visiting the App store if you haven't already. If you don't see the new dashboard just yet, you will be receiving it at some point in the coming weeks.
Thanks so much for your patience throughout this rollout. To read more about this new dashboard experience, please check this article out: What’s the new Fitbit app experience?
Once this rollout is complete, we will let you all know in this thread.
Fitbit Update: 5/22
Hi everyone!
We’ve rolled out another phase of testing for the new app dashboard experience. If you’re one of the lucky people to see it before the full release, you can read more about it here: What’s the new Fitbit app experience?
We’ll continue to slowly release this to all Fitbit customers on iOS and Android. Once we receive more information on this, we’ll let you know.
Hope you’re all enjoying this new layout!
Fitbit Update: 4/24
Hi everyone!
Beginning today with app v2.92, we're excited to announce a new dashboard experience for the Fitbit app, currently by invitation only. If you are invited to opt-in, you can see the new design and try our new app experience to access all your stats and information in a way that’s more dynamic, integrated, and highly personalized.
You can read more about it in this help article: What's the new Fitbit app experience?
As with all our new dashboard updates, this is a progressive rollout. If you don't have an invitation or see the dashboard immediately, you will receive it later on.
We will update this thread with more information later, so stay tuned!

Many people love the new dashboard, especially when the majority of changes where made at the request of the users suggestions.
I was in the first group to receive the update and after 2 months I do love the design.
Yes I know many are complaining about the design and even hate the design, but admit that they hate it because of a bug that has caused a failure. Like not able to start a challenge. This has nothing to do with the new layout.

I personally dislike the new design, especially since it seems they only redesigned some of the screens and not others. I don’t use challenges or anything other than the dashboard. It’s far less efficient or effective. I’ll get over the colors but all of the wasted space and lack of a grid view is not great design. If I have to scroll to see things that I didn’t use to have to scroll to see, its less efficient. Especially since they made all the icons smaller. Just doesn’t make sense to me. I’m not having any of the data loss or connectivity issues others are having so that’s good. I find I’m not engaging near as much with the app as a result.

And there in lies the problem. When engagement with the tool falls then the value of the tool is reduced. Like you I hate the fact that I now have to scroll to see the information that I used to be able to see at a glance. It is a definite backwards step from a User Experience perspective.

@Rich_Laue So the bug which causes me not to be able to start a new challenge is not related to the UI? Only sometimes being able to start a challenge with the rematch is not related to the new UI? Only sometimes being able to accept a challenge is not related to the the new UI? Sneak Peak breaking - I guess that is too not related to the new UI?
I still dislike the new layout, I think I always will. Hate all the scrolling. If sorting would stick, that would help and I’ll get used to it and won’t bother complaining, but I doubt I’ll ever like it. Like another, I find myself engaging less, because it’s more time consuming than it used to be - so don’t think that just because I previously said I’m only complaining about the bugs, that it means I think the layout is an improvement. It’s just that I’m willing to accept it, if it works, because I really have no choice.
But I think the bugs must relate to the the new UI, as they only came about when I was forced to start using it. They didn’t start happening with the IOS App update, it definitely coincided with use of the new UI.
The loss of old PB’s however, that did start with an IOS App update- but definitely not the other issues.
How long are we meant to think it’s acceptable to be part of a challenge community and yet be unable to initiate challenges?

As for when you will receive the new UI, sorry but your fellow Fitbit users will not be able to answer this. Maybe if enough people contact Fitbit it will be released sooner.
Now as someone who was able to get an early release I really like it.
Of course there are a few things I would like changed.
As for needing more clicks to get to the wanted data, I've yet found anyone willing to give me an example but when it comes to challenges it doesn't require a click.
For most other data 1 click gets the user to the same page that 1 click got the user to in the past.

I wish, but it would be very easy to see the relation. Which is how I got the new dashboard early.

Reinstalled the app but was disappointed (I have an iOS 10 device)
The Fitbit app doesn't have the new dashboard

Seriously just as others have said - you don't want the new version!
Total fail as far as “an improvement” goes - absolutely the opposite has
been achieved; the app is now pretty much not worth having at all. Unless
of course you want stuff to not work, to have to scroll just to see simple
data on the so called “dashboard”/home screen, to have to constantly reset
some settings like the order of challenges and to have to wait 30 seconds
or more each time you change screens for it to sync again (why the hell it
has to resync at each screen change is beyond me and anyone else with a
brain too🤬😡). And those are just some of the annoyances I can think of
off the top of my head.

There are a few things I am not sure about
1. Why are Fitbit forcing changes on people without consultation or choice?
2. The most important feature for me when dealing with my weight loss is to see how many calories I have left for the day - why has this feature disappeared?
3. The new dashboard is not user friendly, user wise or aesthetically.
4. When are Fitbit going to respond to all the comments from unhappy people?
I wait with baited breath.

Hi I preferred the old dashboard as well. Also I can no longer see my heart rate when I track my walks. Is there a way to add it back? I have the charge 2
