Fitbit Update: 8/15
Hey all!
This week we released the option to opt-in to use the new dashboard to everyone. At this time, everyone should have received the option to opt-in already. If you didn't opt-in, we will transition everyone into the new dashboard in the coming weeks.
A reminder, after you've opted into the new design you cannot revert and go back to the old one. Read more about the new interface we've designed here: What’s the new Fitbit app experience?
Make sure you're also on the latest version of the Fitbit app.
Thanks for your patience while we completely released the new interface to everyone. We hope you're enjoying the improvements that have been made and appreciate all the feedback.
Fitbit Update: 8/6
Hey everyone!
Thanks for all your feedback on the new dashboard design. We're still in the process of releasing it to all of our users. If you don't see it yet, you will have it pushed to you in the coming weeks! This has been a slow process for the past few months to ensure a smooth rollout.
We're currently on app version 3.3, so please make sure as always that you have the latest version of the Fitbit app.
Once we've released this new dashboard to everyone, we will announce it in this thread.
Fitbit Update: 6/17
Hi Fitbit Family,
We are still rolling out our updated Fitbit app design to more users currently with v.2.95. Please make sure to update the Fitbit app by visiting the App store if you haven't already. If you don't see the new dashboard just yet, you will be receiving it at some point in the coming weeks.
Thanks so much for your patience throughout this rollout. To read more about this new dashboard experience, please check this article out: What’s the new Fitbit app experience?
Once this rollout is complete, we will let you all know in this thread.
Fitbit Update: 5/22
Hi everyone!
We’ve rolled out another phase of testing for the new app dashboard experience. If you’re one of the lucky people to see it before the full release, you can read more about it here: What’s the new Fitbit app experience?
We’ll continue to slowly release this to all Fitbit customers on iOS and Android. Once we receive more information on this, we’ll let you know.
Hope you’re all enjoying this new layout!
Fitbit Update: 4/24
Hi everyone!
Beginning today with app v2.92, we're excited to announce a new dashboard experience for the Fitbit app, currently by invitation only. If you are invited to opt-in, you can see the new design and try our new app experience to access all your stats and information in a way that’s more dynamic, integrated, and highly personalized.
You can read more about it in this help article: What's the new Fitbit app experience?
As with all our new dashboard updates, this is a progressive rollout. If you don't have an invitation or see the dashboard immediately, you will receive it later on.
We will update this thread with more information later, so stay tuned!

I had the same problem this morning. Powered my phone off and back on, and everything came back like it was yesterday.

HELP!! The new app has been full of errors and missing parts from the day my success sunburst disappeared, but this morning takes the cake!! The ONLY items on my screen were Exercise and Water--no steps, no stairs, no heart rate...nothing except for exercise and water. Sleep was there when I first woke up but disappeared along with everything else except for those items while my back was turned! I tried for nearly 20 minutes to return them but nothing worked. And under DISCOVER, some of the items were empty.
I have taken all the usual "repair" steps once uses for balk apps but got nothing. THEN, an hour later, I check again and guess what! They're back!
I've really had my fill! How hard is it to offer the old app as an alternative? And why WOULDN'T you? If your customers hate it, it doesn't work, and everyone seems to like the "old" version, why is Fitbit being so stubborn?

@RicardoFitbit wrote:Hello everyone, I'm happy to continue providing assistance.
I appreciate the feedback that was posted in regards the new Dashboard design. Just as per previously mentioned, we're always striving to improve the Fitbit experience with our products and services. Therefore, the feedback that is shared here in the Community Forums is really helpful for us to evaluate our procedures to make sure that we are delivering what our users are searching for.
Thanks for taking the time to share your personal experience with the new dashboard design and your thoughts regarding this process, your posts are really helpful for us.
@KammyB Thanks for troubleshooting this prior to posting. If you haven't already done so, I recommend you to check how the syncing procedure works here and see if there's a missing requirement on your iPhone XR that's preventing the syncing procedure to be completed. Also, you can move forward to the troubleshooting steps that are specified on: Why won't my Fitbit device sync? and let me know how it goes.
I'll be around if you need anything else.
As previously mentioned I went through the full trouble shooting guide. I am currently stuck at the stage after reinstillisation of the app, it is trying to sync the Blaze after I have put in the 4 digits (hope that makes sense). Nothing further is happening and the app is still trying to sync with the Blaze.
Thanks,
Kam.

I do not like the new dashboard and hope to be able to get the old one back. We should be given that option. I cannot see as much information with the new dashboard. For example, it is difficult to tell if I have met my "steps per hour" goal. The previous dashboard also allowed me to arrange it the way I liked it. The new dashboard shows me "steps per hour and "water". I would rather see "heart rate", but cannot. Please let us have the option of the previous dashboard. Thank you.

I agree with all the above comments about the dashboard, and would like the option to revert to the old one. If that is not possible, here are my suggestions:
In the old dashboard I liked that I could see all my primary metrics on one screen without having to scroll: steps, floors, miles, calories, activity minutes, sleep time, and active hours. In the new setup I have to scroll up and down because the items take up so much more space (they each take up an entire line, rather than just a square shaped space).
Please put challenges back into a separate area. Now, every time somebody invites me to a new challenge, it is automatically placed *above* the stuff I actually want to see on the dashboard (like sleep tracking and activity hours) so I have to scroll even more. Since the change, every few days (if not more frequently) I have to go into the settings to re-arrange all the items to put the activity metrics back on top, where I want them to be.
Please make the "notification" button larger. I seem to have a hard time getting my finger in positon to "click" it when it's a tiny icon pegged in the upper right corner. I never had this issue when it was at the lower right (in the old app).

Why does the new App dashboard show yesterday’s metrics? It shows yesterday calorie input and output.

New dashboard is terrible, who in the world designed this crap. If you can’t go back I think it’s time to consider another watch

I don’t like the new dashboard. I prefer the tiles look and the quick log button is very handy especially for setting alarms. Now I have to do extra steps to set an alarm. Took me a while to figure out how to get to my alarm setting in the new dashboard. Would be great if there are more options on how we want our dashboard to look.

Just got the new app user interface. From a design perspective it uses a lot more “real estate” for the same information. All the text at the right of the icons seems wordy and unnecessary. It clutters the interface, and makes for smaller icons. Some of us, especially fit seniors, would have to put on glasses to read it. I finally figured out how to rearrange the items in the order I want. A word about that up front when someone first converts would be helpful.
And finally, while not interface related, my biggest peccadillo is that there seem to be more fake (potential scammer) profiles out there than real ones. They are easy to spot and would be easy to prevent. If you look at the posts you’ll see 100s of real people complaining about it, and at least one private group dedicated to the topic. Not good for the community.

I’m using an iPhone 5se and the new app has a much smaller font size making the info difficult to read.
This is especially annoying with the heart rate because I like to track heart rate while ona treadmill or elliptical, and keep the app in front of me. It can be harder to read while moving.
If if you aren’t going to add an option to increase the font size or get a more legible font then you should at least add a heart rate view screen showing just the heart rate.
And yes I did make this as a feature suggestion at one point already...

Also I was lying in bed waiting for it to update my sleep analysis, and it says "Wear your tracker to bed to get sleep stats" or something-- pretty silly message to see every day. I appreciated the "Analyzing..." notice when it was trying to update in the last version.

Is there any way to get the old tile layout back? The new layout is awful, just awful. I used to be able to see the four stats most important to me without having to scroll. Now I can only see two. Please give users the option to roll the app home screen layout back to tiles or just chalk this one up to learning and roll the entire update back since, by the many comments complaining about this new layout, I am not alone in hating it.

I wanted to share my feedback since receiving the new dashboard. I've had a fitbit for the last 5 months or so and have really liked it. I have the HR Inspire model. Since updating my app in the last week, I have unfortunately have only had issues with getting accurate data on my dashboard. My activity isn't capturing properly, an intense workout which I did for 50 minutes the other day which would normally capture isn't reflected in my exercise or heart rate monitoring. Additionally whenever I try to refresh / sync the app manually it won't work. It's also not talking to Strava like it used to without issue. A workout which wasn't mine - a swim, appeared on my dashboard! I haven't been swimming in years! Finally, I'm personally not a fan of the the listed out sections, as opposed to the tile view which used to be in place, where you could see more in a glance. Sorry for all of the negative feedback, however it is becoming a little frustrating that it's continually not working properly.

Hi StarrC.
I’m scared to death that Fitbit will force apply the new dashboard for everyone! I’m having SO many issues with the app and I’m still using the old version.
I think developers change things (even when it works) as a way to justify their jobs. They’ve never heard the phrase: “If it ain’t broken, don’t fix it”!
