Fitbit app not listed on iPhone's location services

I just bought an Inspire 3 and paired it with my iPhone 11, and there is no way to enable location services. The app does not appear in the list of the apps in location services in settings. I couldn't find any resolution online. Any idea? thanks.

Just played around with my phone and Fitbit doesn't show in my location services list either. I'll see if a Fitbit Moderator can stop by to let us know what's going on so you can get stepping.

@mcpab Welcome to the forums! @Odyssey13 Thanks for helping our new member.

@mcpab Thanks for bringing this to our attention, and the steps tried on your own. Because it's been a few days, may I know if the issue persists? If so, do you recall if at any point the Fitbit app asked you to give permission to enable this setting? According to the Apple Support page, an app won't appear on the list until it asks permissions to use your data and the same should apply to Fitbit.

In any case, let me recommend these other steps:

  1. Force quit the Fitbit app and reboot your phone.
  2. Open the Fitbit app and pull down on the screen to force a manual sync.
  3. Tap the "+" icon and then select Start exercise.
  4. Wait until you get the prompt to enable location services and proceed to do that.
