That’s why I’m here too! Really frustrating and just happened today on my fairly newly updated iPhone. Upgraded the iOS yesterday. Click on the app and get the page beginning to appear then just shuts down. Argh!

I have been unable to open the Fitbit iOS app. Blind user and unable to see my Fitbit tracker, so rely heavily upon the iOS application, and the Apple voice over screen reader to get my information. Hopefully this will be corrected soon. A feature suggestion was recently introduced asking Fitbit/Google to let people know by way of email and notifications within the community of issues affecting the functionality of the Fitbit software. Apparently they are not listening. For what it is worth I am in the USA and I do not know what countries are being affected. Hopefully this problem will be corrected quickly and hopefully even sooner Fitbit/Google will send out notices to the community Saying that community members do not have to try rebooting, deleting and reinstalling only to find that it was not their device, but Fitbit/google improving service for the new and better experience they are promoting.

The airplane mode workaround suggested by EricFromGA is working for me. Airplane mode keeps it open and lets you log in. Had to disable 2FA though 😳 re enabling now… huge vulnerability, FitBit, I suggest you get this fixed asap

Yes same problem here. Today 2 March 2023, my app started doing the same thing.
If you turn the iPhone to Flight Mode (I.e. cut off internet access) you can get the App to load. Suggestes the error is probably server side at FitBit.
I found this article online Fitbit app crashing issue on iOS devices acknowledged, fix in the works (piunikaweb.com) . Seems fitbit has yet again done sort of failed App or tracker update and sent our devices into choas. Seems to be a regular occurance for Fit and Googles aquistion of them has just made things worse. This is likely to be the cause "iOS app version 3.76 is now available - 02/28/2023" (you will have to search to get here as fitbit won't allow the link to be posted)

Keep tapping to open the app after several tries it opens. It will do this repeatedly. At least mine does

Same here. Tried restarting phone and reinstalling iPhone app. Got as far as logging on and making one update to food consumed and the app crashed again. It now flashes up the today screen and immediately crashes. App is now totally unusable.

Mine has just come back on but is very unstable and is generally still turning itself off straightaway, only after several tries does it stay on . I wonder if it is being caused by a Fitbit server issue as its website had an internal server error for a while earlier, although this now seems to have been fixed (looking on the web at Fitbit /settings).

I went on the web dashboard. When I tried to look at my sleep stats it said there was an internal server error. Hoping that’s the issue and they get it fixed.

March 2nd 2023. The iPhone app crashes on launch. Looking at the forums this happens every year or so. At least it happens all the time. Easier for google to fix.

I have premium and it’s the same. Sneaky push by Apple “by Google” to ditch Fitbit for the Apple Watch?

I have a FIX that worked for me. Go into airplane mode, fire up the app, navigate around the app a lot (different menus, etc.) for about a couple of mins, then turn off airplane mode.

Ever since last night my app will not fully open or stay open. I can open in airplane mode but then it can’t sync. I have turned on and off the phone, uninstalled and installed the app, and turned on and off data, WiFi, Bluetooth. The app is up to date. Argh!!!!!!
