I checked the low power. I also turned off Bluetooth and cellular data and then turned back on. My app opened. I hope this helps others.

I’ve tried turning my phone off and on, reinstalling the app, and the airplane mode trick. Nothing has worked. The app keeps crashing as soon as it opens

I have tried all the above and the app keeps crashing.

Suddenly this morning, when I attempt to open the Fitbit app, it opens to a blank screen for a split second, then immediately closes out.  I can not open from the app or iOS AppStore.  It shows I have the most current version, and also have current iOS version.  It worked fine last night.  Any help would be appreciated.

its Fitbit, not you. If you turn the iPhone to Flight Mode (I.e. cut off internet access) you can get the App to load and sync with your device. But turn Flight Mode off, and its back to crashing again. That suggests the error is probably server side at FitBit.

I found this article online Fitbit app crashing issue on iOS devices acknowledged, fix in the works (piunikaweb.com) . Seems fitbit has yet again done sort of failed App or tracker update and sent our devices into choas. Seems to be a regular occurance for Fit and Googles aquistion of them has just made things worse. This is likely to be the cause "iOS app version 3.76 is now available - 02/28/2023" (you will have to search to get here as fitbit won't allow the link to be posted)

I just finished updating my phone to iOS 16.3.1. The app worked for a few minutes and synced with my Fitbit, but now it's closing itself again.

Same here

After reinstalling I’ve found that if I try to run it a few times, it will crash at first, but after 3-5 times will let it stay loaded. It worked fine before the last Apple update.

Is this a Fitbit issue or iPhone issue?

I lost the Fitbit app earlier this morning. After about an hour, it was restored and worked fine but now the application will not connect with Fitbit. I am in the United States and had hoped Fitbit had resolve the issue. I know this is affecting tens of thousands if not hundreds of thousands of 50 users around the world And I do hope it is restored quickly. I am frustrated with Fitbit/Google for failing to notify us by email or by messages in the community forums. Fitbit customer care was useless and that they gave the same spiel that they always give delete the app reinstall the app turn off your phone turn on your phone , and then pray that it works. The problem is not with our phones or with the version of the iOS app. We are running. It is part of Fitbit/googles attempt to improve our user experience if I guessed correctly. Since they started this improvement of our if they Google experience experiment. All of us have suffered multiple  Service outages along with the upcoming removal of open groups, adventures and badges/trophies. I hope what they are promising is worth it. I am a blind user who relies on my iPhone to get information, and I have never seen the screen on my Fitbit tracker.  Being without the application, denies me the opportunity to see how my exercise is progressing and whether or not I am meeting my hourly goals.

Thank you!

I tried the same thing, and it didn’t work on an iPhone 14 pro

1) Barebones apps installed that might be in conflict

2) No Fitbit add-on apps.
3) Reinstalled app 3 times,

4) Turned flight mode on and off

restarted phone

5) I was able to get to welcome screen but it crashed while loading my content.

Anyway; nice connection with my fellow Fitbit aficionados
