i have a iPhone 13 Pro fully updated and fitbit ver 3.76. When i try to start the app if flashes and goes away.

My Fitbit app on my iPhone 11 is closing immediately upon opening. It IS working on my iPhone 8. I have restarted the phone 3 times. I have deleted and reinstalled the app. I have turned off Bluetooth, shut down the phone for 2 minutes then opened the phone and Bluetooth. What next???

That’s funny! I was just looking at iPhones!. Fitbit and Versa watches have many problems. Why don’t they put out a message that they are having app problems and are working on it? That’s just the courtesy thing to do.

I’m having the same issue. I did a search in the help forum for “app crash iOS” and the incredible number of times this app has had similar issues over the years is insane. I’m mad I just renewed my premium membership before they announced they were getting rid of challenges. That was the primary reason I paid for premium. Without those, the constant problems resulting in an inability to use the app won’t be worth the trouble. 😡

I'm not sure this is a fix, but appears to be a work around.
It is actually FitBit, not you. If you turn the iPhone to Flight Mode (I.e. cut off internet access) you can get the App to load and sync with your device. But turn Flight Mode off, and its back to crashing again. That suggests the error is probably server side at FitBit.
If you long tounch the app (rather than just tapping it, then select "log water", then the app stays open and you can navaigate back to the main screen.
I found this article online Fitbit app crashing issue on iOS devices acknowledged, fix in the works (piunikaweb.com) . Seems fitbit has yet again done some sort of failed App or tracker update and sent our devices into choas.

I am having the same experience with my iPhone SE. Followed the same proceedures of deleting the app and reinstalling, rebooting the phone and it worked for a few moments but now has returned to immediately closing upon opening.

Today, March 2, 2023, the Fitbit app crashes upon opening on my iPhone and iPad. Worked fine yesterday.
Restarted iPhone. No help. Removed the app, reinstalled, no help.
I see this issue on other fora, not here yet (except for previous years).
I suspect you Feb 28, 2023 update broke something.

same mine worked fine this morning and now it won’t load just keeps flashes off! must be an issue with fitbit all it self!

Same here on my iPhone. I read on the web that we are supposed to email fitbit with our name fitbit model and phone info but I do not see any address to use.

I can run the Fitbit App when I turn on flight mode before starting the Fitbit App and reactivate WiFi & co when it's open and running.

Seems obvious Fitbit app not working with new version out, can’t this be rolled back to previous version till bugs are corrected?

I had the same problem today. I closed app & reopened, no change, I deleted app & reinstalled, no change.
is it my imagination, or do problems regularly occur? I don't have this problem with my Apple Watch. Doesn't seem like the beta test changes.
