@Podunk I don't know if this website is accessible, but Down Detector is showing a definite problem with the Fitbit app this morning. That's all I know and I'm waiting for more information too.

in morning.
Must be systemic issues. Hopefully resolved today.
*** Update: Good news. app opened and working 12:30 pm
Best AnswerThanks for update!
are you suggesting deleting the app - which will delete all data - and reinstall?
I have already tried all the other combinations of forced close both Bluetooth and app as well as turning off my phone for 3 mins and no change…
Best AnsweriPhone 11 Pro, same issue - crashing repeatedly. Came on once after I restarted phone and Fitbit, but now crashes every time again. Sometimes I can get the app to work if I click on the app ~ 10 times or so... what a nuisance
Yep- when I turn on airplane mode and turn off wifi, the app loads completely instead of crashing out within fractions of a second after opening. But since I've already gone through restarting my phone, deleting and re-downloading the app, and even finally updating my iphone to 16.3.1, now I can't sync my fitbit because I'm not signed in on the app. Blergh. Hope they fix this soon!
Best AnswerI just tried it while at work — no Wi-Fi — and it worked.
Best AnswerI tried the long touch on the app earlier this morning on my iPhone and was able to log my weight and water in twice. That is no longer working. An immediate crash occurs whether I long touch or tap.
Best AnswerI noticed the same problem first thing this morning. Sometimes the app will stay open for half a second, but usually it crashes automatically. I have the latest iOS, and the Fitbit app updated automatically yesterday (maybe the new version is buggy?). I tried rebooting my phone to no avail.
Best AnswerA quick workaround is to turn off Wi-Fi; the problem seems to be associated with that because it works fine using cellular data.
Best AnswerThis worked for me also. Fitbit needs to repair this. Instead I disabled WIFI and turned off WIFI on the Fitbit apps and that works also. At least for now all my stuff on my phone will work via cellular data and I can keep my fitbit app open also.
