I had set my calorie goal to be a dynamic 250 deficit. This morning, I went to switch it to 500 and it get reverting back as soon as I would change it. I set a manual static goal and then tried to switch back to the dynamic goal, and it keeps reverting back to the static goal. I have force quit and re-opened the app, deleted and reinstalled the app, and turn my phone off and back on. None of that has helped.

On changing my calorie deficit plan from 750 to 500 it goes through the steps when I click off it as it’s done and then go down to my food icon it reverts back to set my own goal and doesn’t register the 500 deficit says I’m only aloud to eat so many calories for that day which iv been trying since yesterday morning to get the deficit to actually stay in place and it keeps reverting back it’s driving me crazy

I've been having the same issue for several days. I'm trying to edit my plan, but it keeps going back to my old one. I have forced stopped the app, disconnected, reconnected, uninstalled, reinstalled and still the same response. Reverting back to my old plan eith a message saying Fitbit.com is down for maintenance.

I have been trying to update mine for days. It just says Fitbit is down for maintenance and kicks me out keeping the plan the same as before

Well this is interesting! Because Android users are getting the same exact error, "Fitbit.com is down for maintenance" when trying to save or update a food plan. I ended up in this thread by accident, as I'm actually an Android user, but very interesting that this problem applies to both.

I’m the same. Wanted to up to a 1000 deficit for a cutting phase but app has defaulted to 500 deficit which I cannot budge. All the usual resets done - even had ChatGBT to help, but no. I lost nearly 5 stone through Fitbit tracking and since Google took the reins, it’s been nothing but hassle. Can’t even access a dashboard any more. Sort it out Google!! Years I’ve had a Fitbit and desperately want to change but scared it’ll start to undo all the hard work I’ve achieved when times were good 🤷🏻:female_sign:

Here you have the thread on Android, since a lot of Android users seem to have ended up here on the iOS forum instead:

This problem just hit me too on iOS. I’ve been on the same dynamic 500 calorie deficit plan for YEARS and suddenly Google decided to trap me in a static 1,040 cal max no matter how active my day is. Extremely problematic for many reasons. I did nothing to mess with my settings or initiate this change on my own, so I’m pretty furious multiple sections of the app are now useless to me because of this.
Saw there was an app update pushed 20hrs ago so I just ran that, didn’t fix anything. Did all the usual troubleshooting I could do on my end/from my device and nothing, I can’t get my dynamic deficit back. I’ve been using Fitbit daily for almost 10 years now and I think I’m at my limit. Open to switching to a fitness tracker brand that Google hasn’t ruined.

I’m in a very similar situation. I keep trying to go back to my original 500 calorie deficit and it keeps maxing me out at 1,567 calories no matter what I do. Updated, signed out, signed in, uninstalled, reinstalled- nothing is working.

Same problem. Have updated the app, deleted and reinstalled the app but it’s still not working. I’ve also removed my weight goal and body fat goal before setting the food plan goal but this doesn’t work either. I can manually change the static calorie goal but can’t switch to a deficit goal which is what I want. When I do try to switch, it just reverts back to a static calorie goal.

I'm having the same problem where it keeps resetting to a static goal that I never set. For me it's 1,897 calories, which is kind of a random number - I'm curious where it even came from. One thing almost worked - I set a new static goal, and then set a dynamic goal again. It kept the dynamic goal the next time I checked, but I only got one chance, and then it reverted back to the static goal again.
I'm also thinking of switching to a different tracker.
