Hi Mario,

I can confirm my device and app is up to date because I've uploaded the new firmware and now my Fitbit versa no longer works at all 😔 😤

It does not  switch on I have a blank screen and before that I had the Fitbit icon constantly flashing and the the big red X.

I have switched on switched off

Uninstalled my app and reinstalled

Restarted my versa

Deleted and re installed my versa

Reset my versa to factory settings

And tried to follow the information about clicking on my profile tile and looking for continue upload( it's not there 🤷)

I have been a member of the Fitbit community for years now and have found I've been somewhat lost without my device today 😭

Another other suggestions would be greatly appreciated... But remember my versa is now just a blank screen and when I try to re start I get one vibration then nothing 😢

I look forward to your reply

Deborah

I used to have a Fitbit years ago—long before Google bought them—but I recently switched to a Pixel Watch 3 and Fitbit again about three weeks ago. I’ve been dealing with this issue for two weeks now, and it’s honestly crazy that a bug like this still isn’t fixed. I used Samsung watches and Samsung Health for over five years and never saw anything like this. If this is how Pixel/Fitbit handles things, I’m glad I still have my Samsung hardware.

P.S. Why does Fitbit status say no incidents and yet you are confirming this incident has been going on for weeks and Fitbit knows about it?

Got the same issue too.

Been the same for a couple of weeks.

Did the online chat and they said it should be sorted with the latest update 4.64 but I'm not holding my breath.

I've tried all the trouble shooting tips and still nothing worked

The app update happened today and did not fix the issue.

I deleted the app and reloaded it. Reset everything. Cleared the cache.

Same message.

I talked with customer service this evening and they basically told me they were sorry that someone told me an update would fix the problem because that's not the case and the developers are still trying to figure this out.

There's no time frame.

We are not really considered important in my opinion because Google has better things to worry about. Google taking over Fitbit has been a nightmare and you would think that customers who use more than just the Fitbit related to their product might be more important than they realize.

For example I have Google Fiber, of which if I continue to be treated as a second hand person who isn't appreciated for paying money for Google products it's very likely that I'm not only going to walk away from Fitbit after being with it for 14 years but I'm going to walk away from all things Google.

I'm not the only person that feels this way and I have many friends who already walked away from Google because of how they've been treated.

Remember it's not what you say to someone it's how you make them feel.

I feel like Fitbit is at the bottom of priorities which makes me unimportant to Google.

We need a legitimate update and time frame because this is something that I use daily.

If you agree please comment or like this post. I know a five people who have not posted here that are having the same problem so not everyone is coming to this forum.

I think I've said enough it's just very frustrating to feel so good about a product and then have it taken over and basically slowly destroyed.

Did they tell you when the next update was happening?

The fix for Fitbit: Whatever changes you made that stopped it from working, Undo them.

Same! I can't save a food plan at all. (From what I read here, many people were already having food plan issues last year too?) Doesn't work through Food and doesn't work through settings - Nutrition and Weight, either. The error message I get is the same "Network operation failed - Fitbit.com is down for maintenance". I'm in Android on Motorola, no pending updates.

For our information: iOS users are experiencing similar problems and getting the "Fitbit.com is down" error message. https://community.fitbit.com/t5/iOS-App/Food-plan-won-t-update/m-p/5817277#M183476 (I originally ended up on this thread by accident, but several iOS users are now reporting it there, too)

Also: how on earth is the The Fitbit Status Dashboard still not listing any incidents? Since it's obvious this is now a widespread problem, has been for a while, and is apparently KNOWN to Fitbit.

If this is a known issue, and has been for some time, why doesn't it appear on the Fitbit Status Dashboard?

Best Answer

Did that fix the issue for you?

Thanks 😊

Nope still not fixed

Got an update today, downloaded it, but don't see any change to this problem. Same "Network operation failed, Fitbit.com is down for maintenance"

I'm getting this too. Noticed my cals in/out prediction etc was completely off. Turns out my food plan had reset, when of course, I hadn't gone near it at all. Tried to set up again = network error. Shan't expect a fix at any point soon. Absolute mess.

Yup this is EXACTLY what happened to me 3 or 4 days ago, and I've had the same food plan set up for probably 2 years now. Not even been near the settings until I noticed my calories had changed in the app.

This is totally unacceptable when it's something people use everyday to help them.

I have been dealing with this issue for way too long now. I have cleared my cache, restarted my phone, uninstalled the app, reinstalled the app and still I cant change my food plan cause an error pops up saying Network operation failed, Fitbit.com is down for maintenance. How many months does it take for this to be fixed?
