Why FiBit???

REDUCE MAX CHALLENGES

FROM 10 to 5??

No notification, we are just left to wonder why challenges aren’t working. Then spend time calling a FitBit help advocate.

There are are lots of trackers out there, the social aspect is what sets FitBit apart and keeps users with FitBit.

PLEASE RESTORE 10 MAX CHALLENGES.

Hi @lilbitcounts2@lilbitcounts2, and @J-flex. I'm sorry for the misunderstanding about the maximum of challenges you can be in.

This hasn't changed, however, we’re aware of the message you may be getting saying "Challenge limit has been reached", but please note that we are working to identify a resolution as quickly as possible.

We're sorry for any trouble. We appreciate your patience and look forward to getting you back on track. To get more official information about challenges, see: What should I know about Fitbit challenges?

Hello @lilbitcounts2

I am also in 10 challenges with no issues either. I do know from reading different places in this community that if you view your Fitbit app with an Android device there are issues with challenges as you are describing and from what I can gather from this community is that Fitbit is aware of the issue and I hope they fix the issue in a update soon. (The sooner the better) I personally view my Fitbit App from an iOS device and have found a “workaround” to get the ten challenges we are promised. Again this is only a workaround until they fix it but if you too use an iOS device here is the workaround:

1.Go to your profile and tap Badges and Trophies under your picture

2. tap trophy collection

3. Chose which challenge you want and just tap start challenge

This will not work of course doing any of the adventure challenges. I agree the challenge issues since the update has been very frustrating to say the least. I’m not sure if this helps any but I hope it does.

I called FITBIT SUPPORT and THEY TOLD ME the Max for challenges has been reduced from 10 to 5 recently.

Using Apple iOS.

Having major issues, can not set up challenges. When I can set up a challenge with the work around the usual people do not appear in the invite list tho they show as friends.

I hope it’s sorted soon not only for me but FitBit many people are leaving for other platforms. Ten years with FitBit, don’t like seeing this.

Wow @lilbitcounts2 reducing the challenge max it terrible! This would be a huge downgrade! I’m still holding 10 challenges and I’m running a Apple iPad Air Pro iOS 12.4.1 my Fitbit is a Alta HR with the FitBit app being the latest version 3.5 that hit 3 days ago. I’m grateful that I can still do 10 challenges with the workaround but it’s scary that the Fitbit Customer Service says it’s reduced.

Just a thought @lilbitcounts2  have you considered deleting the Fitbit App and reinstalling it? You sound like yours is really glitchy so I was wondering if that would help. I think it’s certainly worth a shot. Can’t hurt.

I use Apple ISO.  Currently in 10 challenges.  No issue with challenges but have lots of other issues as a result of the recent up

I just sent a text to Fitbit Twitter on line support for clarification on the number of participants per challenge.

Hi Megabite -

Yes, I’ve been thru all the usual troubleshooting procedures including app delete & reinstall. Ten years with FitBit so thought I’d give all that a go - zero improvement.

Using iPhone XS Max iOS 12.4.1

FitBit App 3.5 (862)

Ionic device firmware 33.1.30

LET’S HOPE FITBIT IS LISTENING & THIS IS SORTED QUICKLY

FITBIT HAS GREAT DEVICES BUT THEIR FOCUS ON COMMUNITY.....the people, customer service, responsiveness to suggestions....HAS ALWAYS BEEN STELLAR.

PERHAPS THIS FOCUS WILL BE RENEWED SOON ❤️....I hope 😊

Hello again @lilbitcounts2

please read the post from @MarreFitbit  above. The challenge limit has not been changed. I do know that there seems to be a lot of challenge issues since the update so we can only wait till they address this issue in a future update. Hopefully that will occur soon. In the meantime Happy Stepping 😃

THANK YOU so much MARREFITBIT for your response:exclamation_mark:️ This is the FitBit I have come to know over the last 10 years. GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE.

PLEASE BE AWARE...TWO different FitBit Advocates in Jamaica informed me that CHALLENGES have been reduced from 10 to 5. Both times this was after they checked with a supervisor.

Might want to give those folks a shout on this.

THANKS AGAIN for responding.

Hello @lilbitcounts2 your response was refreshing and well written. It’s nice to see a positive when there seems to be such a influx in mean spirited messages lately. I’ve always been happy with my Fitbit and with the Fitbit app. It’s not perfect but I know they are working on things and you can never really make thousands of customers happy 100% of the time. I was one of the first waves to get the update. I wasn’t totally impressed at first but I adjusted to the change and it doesn’t bother me at all anymore. I’m having the challenge problem like everyone else but they say they are working on it so I’m satisfied with that. I want to be a part of the solution not the problem. I can tell by your post your that way too. Happy Stepping my Friend 😃

I’ve been having this problem for months. I just deleted the app, restarted iPhone, reinstalled, and no love.

If a friend invites me, I can join. But no matter how many challenges are active, I cannot create a challenge.
