Heart rate discrepancy between app and Versa.

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

While running on a treadmill I noticed that the App Heart Rate was off by a lot. The tracker (Versa) was around 120 bpm and the app said it was 165 bpm. I cross check my heart rate on the treadmill and it was in the same range as the tracker. This isn’t the only time I’ve noticed this discrepancy.

Hello @Jayj048, thanks for joining the Fitbit Community, it's great to have you on board. Smiley Happy

I appreciate your participation in the Forums and for reporting this to us. Tell me, which clock-face are you using on your Versa? Is it a Fitbit one or a third-party one?

At this moment, we would like to ask you for a screenshot of the Fitbit app and a picture of the heart rate on your device when the heart rate shows a discrepancy, this will be very helpful for us to check this further. In the meantime, please restart your Versa by pressing and holding the Back and Select buttons (left and bottom right) until you see the Fitbit logo on the screen.

Thanks for your patience and understanding, we'll be waiting to hear from you.

The clock face is third party "Night Time" by Richard Gee. Does the Clock
Face affect the UI when tracking an exercise or is the exercise UI separate
from the clock face?

It may be a couple of days before I'm back on a treadmill, but I can see if
there is any discrepancy while lifting weights. Also if there is a
discrepancy I will switch to a Fitbit clock face to see if that remedies
the issue.

Hello @Jayj048, I hope you're doing well, thanks for taking the time to reply. Smiley Happy

I appreciate you have come back and let us know the name of the clock-face you're currently using. Please note that 3rd-party clock-faces use the Fitbit API to pull the informaiton being tracked by the device, however in some cases, some information like the heart-rate will have trouble transfer or will be a bit delayed when showing up in the clock-face. My best recommendation at this moment is to use a Fitbit clock-face and check if the heart rate has any discrepancies. If you notice this only happens with the "Night Time" clock-face, please contac the developers of the clock-face and let them know about this situation.

Thanks for your patience and understanding, if there's anything else we can do for you, please feel free to reply.

I’m having this problem between my app and my Versa 2. There can be a difference of up to 20-25 bpm. It seems like the app is more accurate than what I’m seeing on my clock face. I’m using a the ChronoRings clock face. I chose it because I thought it was showing me my heart rate in real time so I could check while I am exercising. Is there something I can do to get a more accurate reading?
