Heart rate graph no longer consistent vertical scale

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

The heart rate graph (mine is a Charge HR), no longer uses a consistent vertical scale between days, instead rejigging itself each day to presumably show a more interesting looking graph! This is sooo annoying as you can’t do day-to-day comparison visually. For example I like to look at my sleeping heart rates, and before, you could swipe through each day and instantly see anomalies because every day had the same vertical scale. Now it’s useless for that. Please give us an option to switch back to a ‘locked’ vertical scale.

Why is the heart rate scale incorrect on iPhone app?

Yes it’s happening with mine too. When I contacted Fitbit about it, firstly they didn’t believe me. Then I was told to uninstall and reinstall the app and then sync.

When it still didn't work they then said they knew about the bug in the app which was a tad irritating that I had to waste my time reinstalling etc.

I asked when it would be rectified and no time could be given.

Whilst it’s a relatively minor issue what was vexing was how Fitbit handled it.

We need more users to highlight it before they will do something about it!

@Bobismyuncle   Could you please describe what you are seeing?  Better yet, post a screen shot.  Your post is a little too vague to be able to help you.

Hi Lizzy -

Since you seem to be collecting these messages, here are two other threads that regard the same issue (which started in v 2.95, and contioniues with v 3.1) regarding the y-scaling for the heart graph detail:

https://community.fitbit.com/t5/iOS-App/Heart-Rate-Graph-Wrong/m-p/3536475#M106491

https://community.fitbit.com/t5/iOS-App/Why-is-the-heart-rate-scale-incorrect/m-p/3595007#M108255

Please continue to keep us apprised on what, if anything, fitbit plans to do about this.

Thanks in advance!

I too am still seeing it with 3.1. What's really frustrating is that this should be a trivial thing to fix (source: professional software developer since 1981). Thankfully, I still have the original dashboard; so my rage is somewhat muted 🙂 .

Post removed - I thought I could reply directly to an earlier comment but it didn't make sense when added to the end of the thread. (New to the forum so not sure how things work here yet).

Same issue here with the graph. It's been like that for a while, maybe a month or so? I don't know how it correlated with any updates, I didn't notice. I ignored it for a while assuming it was a software bug that would be fixed with the next update but it hasn't changed and it is frustrating. I'm disappointed that Fitbit has obviously known about it for several weeks now and hasn't remedied the issue. I know without a doubt this should be an easy fix. Clearly it just isn't a priority. I decided to add to the thread thinking that maybe if enough people complain they will do something about it.

Just an FYI - the latest update has removed the decimal points, but not fixed the mismatch of scale. If anything it’s worse. Update please?

When I first click on heart rate, it shows a graph of my heart rate for the day, when I click on the double arrows in the upper right of the screen it expands the graph and shows my heart rate about 10 to 15 BPM higher than the previous screen for the same day. Does anyone else have this issue?

Hi @Mariosb, welcome to the Community!

Thanks for the information provided, and I'm sorry that your heart rate graphs aren't showing up correctly. Just to confirm, is the Fitbit app updated to the latest version? Do you have the new dashboard? Also, please take a screenshot and attach it in your reply, so I can take a look.

If you've not done so, please try the following steps:

  1. Log out from the Fitbit app.
  2. Force quit the Fitbit app and reboot your phone.
  3. Log back into the Fitbit app.
  4. Try checking your heart rate graphs.

Keep me posted. Smiley Happy
