With the latest iOS update  4.3, the heart rate number is not displaying in the heart tile. The darkened circle and the dot in the circle indicates that there is live data.

I removed and reinstalled the app but still not showing. However it does display in the Resting Heart Rate tile.

Here is a real oddity in app version 4.03 for iOS reflecting a programming flaw. If I put HR in the primary focus tab, HR doesn’t show, but if I make it visible in the health section, the number shows. They were so gist with dials no spinning numbers that they forgot t(e basics. This was rushed to production.  It looks like an Alpha version. I can’t believe the had any user focus groups.

Same issue with Versa 4, have tried everything.   A fix would be appreciated.

@johanna-nystrom  There is a known bug in version 4.03 of the iOS app.  Fitbit is aware of this, but a time frame for a fix isn’t available.

I am having the same problem…it is not showing the heart rate on the today page but it does show it on the watch ..do you know how to fix it or do we need to contact Fitbit.

Thanks! Glad to hear i’m not alone, however there have been alot of bugs that are several years old which they do nothing about so my hopes are not high for this one.

Hello @Sharonx16

If you are looking for your real time heart rate, that is currently not available in the Fitbit app. When the Fitbit app was redesigned, heart rate was changed to show a range and your Resting Heart Rate.

If you want to have your real time heart rate restored so it shows in the Fitbit app, please go to the link in my previous message and vote for the feature.

Sorry, but this is not helpful.  I WAS able to see bpm in real time and it stopped a few days ago.  When I top "TODAY" and scroll to Health Metrics, I can't tap on it (I tap on it and it does nothing).  Is there an update or fix for this.  bpm is a pretty basic metric and without it while working out, my FitBit (Luxe) is pretty much useless. Please advise.  (username: amylewcar)

Thank you RiekoC.  However, there is another issue… it shows no rate  or range just dashes ..I contacted customer service and was told they are aware of the problem and are working on fixing it. So hopefully in a few days it will be fix, at least this problem. But i will go and vote on the other issue.. Thank you !

Thought I would put my 2 cents in.

fitbit charge 5

iOS 16.7.3

iPhone SE

bpm displays on watch but not on the app.
sleep score not working for me either.
I’ve had a Fitbit for a few years now so already know the tips about Bluetooth and redownloading app, etc etc.

In the last few days my Fitbit app shows a blank for my bpm. But my Versa 3 is working fine. Any fix for this?

Known problem with latest app update - don't waste your time trying to fix.  It is still recording heart rate - just display problem.

Before posting, re-read to see if it would make sense to someone else not looking at your Fitbit or phone.

  1. My heart rate tile has the line too, even though a heart rate displays below in health metrics.
  2. The Versa 4 (have had less than 2 months) recently stopped displaying the heart rate when I check the watch face. There’s a line. I have to toggle through stats to get HR to display again.
  3. On my last 3 of 4 runs (4miles each), heart rate tracking stopped and restarted (sometimes).  On one, the exercise tracking had to be restarted 3 times.  Today, it tracked 4 miles as 0.76, 1.31, 1.3, and 0.65, and the last 2 had no heart data although the graph in the heart section of the app and the 2 hour heart rate tile on my Versa 4 show data.
  4. And there are the multi hour gaps in nightly heart rate and sleep data (reported elsewhere by users).

I’ve had Fitbits since 2018.  I swore the Versa 3 was my last but took a chance on the Versa 4. Too many problems at less than 2 months.

Stop telling us it’s sleep position or band tightness/position, or to reboot, reinstall, restart, reset, readjust, recharge, … repeat. Fix the bugs. Or it may be time to reconsider Fitbit, request a refund, revoke the subscription to Premium, and reorder a new device—from a competitor.

Real time heart rate shown correctly on Inspire2. Rebooted tracker and phone.

Worked fine until latest Fitbit app update.

@FatCatFit this is a known issue with the current version of the iPhone app. It will be fixed, but I am not aware of a time frame for that.
