I switched to iPhone xr from a 7 and I lost 2 years of activity.  History is 2017 back, it is tracking the last few days since I upgraded.  How do I get back 2018 & 2019?

Hi @CLR61.It's nice to see a new face around.

Congrats on your new iPhone and thanks for letting me know about your account data. Before anything else, I'm wondering if you're totally sure you're not using two different accounts when trying to log into your new phone? This happened to me once when updating my iPhone, I thought I was logging in with the right account but I wasn't, I put a similar one since the only difference was a letter in between. So, I'm assuming this would be the case and everything will work since your Fitbit device is setup in your new account but your previous data will not be displayed there.

Would you mind verifying this? To do that, please follow these steps:

  1. Go to the Fitbit app in your iPhone and tap on your profile's icon.
  2. In the Privacy and Security section, tap Security and Login.
  3. Under "Change Email" you'll see the email that is currently linked to your Fitbit account.

Trying to verify if this is the original email you used to use with your app. If it doesn't, try logging out and logging back in by using the correct email. Additionally, make sure that your Fitbit app is updated to the latest version.

Let me know how everything goes.

Hi Lizzy, I think that is a possibility, I do have 2 accounts. I need to try and combine them I guess. I had Comcast when I first got my Fitbit but changed to Google. Thanks for the tip.

Hi @CLR61. It's great to see you here again.

Thanks for keeping me updated and verifying your account details. While there isn't a way to merge both accounts, I'd recommend to log into the one that you'd like to use and make sure your Fitbit device is linked to it. This way you can add more information and track your progress. For instructions in setting up a Fitbit device to your existent account, please check this help article.

About your account details, if you prefer to use your Google email address instead of Comcast, you can log in to the Fitbit account linked to Google and follow these steps to delete that account and its data. Then, after a few days you can log in to the Fitbit account linked to Comcast email and change the email as described here.

If you need more help, don't hesitate to post back! 😉
