Fitbit Update 07/06/17: This issue has now been resolved, and this fix is retroactive. Now go get that 250!
Fitbit Update 5/17/2017: Apologies for the delay in updating this thread. We are still aware of this issue and currently working with our team on a fix.
There is a similar thread that has posted updates here. Thanks again for your patience. We continue to monitor this issue and will update as soon as we have a fix.
Fitbit Update 4/26: There is a known issue where some users' Hourly Activity Goal graph does not update even though they've reached 250 steps within an hour time frame.
This is a known issue that our team is currently working to resolve. Thanks for everybody's patience while this is being worked out.

Looking back at the days it started missing the 250 steps per hour, it was ok Saturday but started not working Sunday after the clocks went forward, not sure if that's got any bearing on the matter.

"It's a known issue and they're working on it. / It should be fixed soon."
Do. Not. Believe. A Word.
I have received this quote at least 4 times from FitBit representatives, on the phone and in multiple lengthy email chains.
If this function is important to you, ask for your money back and return the item to Amazon or Best Buy or wherever, because this function is not going to be available with this product hardware. There may be a future product on which they've fixed this, but for those of us with these releases of the Alta and the Blaze, we will always have this problem.
I used to work in software development, and while I'm proud that my company never engaged in this practice, it was and is commonplace for software companies to claim they are fixing a known bug when they're not.

Just went on the web chat and after "Luis" went through all of his standard dialogue, was told that my problem was that my app needed updating. When I called BS and told him I had the most recent version, he then came back with "Our engineers are aware of the problem and are working to resolve it as quickly as possible."
i don't believe they know how to fix the issue and dont care. I don't know why they don't just acknowledge they can't fix it or let us edit the results to show we did do 250 steps that hour.

Jeepjay - I noticed when my time changed two weeks ago (I'm in the US) that my FitBit was putting all steps against the wrong hour until I did a hard reset on the Blaze. That fixed that. Changing into summer time (or daylight savings time, depending on where in the world you are) shouldn't affect whether or not the 250+ steps/hour are counted correctly, but it may affect which hour steps are counted against.
My informal experimentation leads me to believe the Blaze is counting correctly and the app is mistaken, for what it's worth, and that the app is erroneously counting steps for the first minute or two of each hour against the previous hour.

Hi EddieWK,
I am in the U.K. So our summer time change happened last Saturday night / Sunday morning. May well not have anything to do with it but have also now noticed sleep is not syncing and last time it worked was 2am Sunday morning.

Ever since the "sleep stages" app update this week, which still doesn't work on my Charge 2, my hourly steps have not been recording at the 9AM hour. I have restarted the Fitbit, Logged out of my account, restarted my phone, then logged back in... Still nothing. The Fitbit itself is stating that I have walked the 250 steps, but it will not credit me the red dot. My app is also up to date. Any info is appreciated. I have only had this Fitbit for three months, and I am pretty annoyed that it isn't working properly since this app update.

This is ridiculous. What is the timeframe to fix it? Also the clocks changing mean that my hours have reset and I cannot change them back to what they should be. Over the poor service from Fitbit. I have asked for a complaint to be raised and nothing done. So unhappy with this and over this product

I have now got this issue with the app too, it is definitely not my charge 2. I have made a special effort yesterday and today to make sure I got the 250 steps well before each hour was up and double checked that my Fitbit had logged it on it's screen. Yesterday when I synced my Fitbit it was 8am that didn't show up on the app, and now today it has been 5pm that didn't show up. Extremely frustrating, it's such a useful feature to keep me moving and it now seems pointless if my efforts don't get logged onto my app! I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling, that doesn't work. I've also checked on my dashboard on my computer and it doesn't update on there either. Definitely something wrong with the Fitbit server/database and not a problem with the trackers I think. It's also disappointing to see this issue has been happening since last year for some users and is still a problem, what the hell fitbit?

Hi Derrick. I seem to be having this issue recently. My actual fitbit says 4/12 at the moment but the app says 2/12. The missing hour is in the middle of the completed ones. Do you know why or what I can do? Thank you
Charlotte

I have the same problem, I bought Fitbit Charge 2 yesterday and it counts the steps fine but the red dot doesn't appear on Fitbit app, I have synced it many times but it doesn't help. 😞

The call center should be made aware of this.. I was on the phone with 3 different people and they couldn't help me they didn't indicate that this is known issue. Referred ticket to engineering who never contacted me and then wanted to close my ticket asking if I needed any more help?? The problem isn't resolved so why wouldn't I need help. Now my iPad won't sync. This is. Very discouraging to have ongoing problems. I'm not sure I don't want to return it since there doesn't seem to be any real support from Fitbit. What a joke

I have the same issue. My blaze tracker says 12 of 12 hours, but my app always skips a couple hours even though both show the same amount of total steps, and I have all day sync on.

I realize the message that Fitbit is working on the issue was posted a year ago, but I am just now having this problem. My Charge 2 trackers says I've reached 10 out of 10 hours, but the dashboard is not showing correctly. What is the status of this fix? this is the 3rd issue that I've had with Fitbit in a week. What is going on??

I just sent Derrick NoHelp FitBit a message asking him why FitBit is ignoring everyone on this issue. Let's see if he bothers acknowledging us. I personally have turned off the 250 step reminder and removed it from my app. All it served to do was to piss me off when I think that I over paid for features that really aren't available on my overpriced watch. I am now searching for another fitness tracker (not a FitBit) to replace this worthless **ahem**.

Before this issue I have always loved the support from Fitbit. But this is still going...

If you just bought it yesterday, return it! Seriously. Fitbit does not care at all. I have had mine since 12/28/16, and there has been maybe two app updates. I reported this issue after the last app update, and they do not care to fix it. It's been a known issue since last summer!
