How do I delete messages?

How do I delete messages? I've tried tapping on messages, swiping, etc. Can't figure it out. Taking up space! Please help! Lol. Thanks!

@GraceGFitbit is there a fix for this yet? I have messages that are way more than 30 days old and they are not deleting automatically as Fitbit claims. I have logged out and back in, still nothing. I have logged out, removed the app, reinstalled, logged in and still nothing. 

This is EXTREMELY annoying and seriously such an easy fix for a tier 1 programmer. It should not be taking this long to solve something so simple.

I've also tried what you did & still having the problem. Also, I still have
the little red number of new msgs/notifications that hasn't gone away even
though they've been read. Hopefully, a Fitbit update will address this
annoyance soon. Sorry I couldn't help.

They dont disappear after 30 days.  I have one thats been there for almost a year and It wont go away and any time I log out and log back in, the message is flagged like its new.  They need to give us a delete button.  Im tired of looking at that message constantly.

I too continue to have the same problem...very frustrating. I want to remove messages, notifications or what ever they are called. No luck...been working on this for a while, new phone (Android), new app, new watch (Ionic)...all new...same old messages still there. Ugh!

I have an Ionic, when in the messages, I have no way of deleting them. They are over 300 days old, it makes me want to move to a new watch...I do not want old messages on my Fitbit!

If your referring to the ones in the Fitbit app, @Paulsaint see the posts above and on previous pages. 

Without a delete button the user is unable to.

I want to delete messages on the Fitbit app.  Some random person messaged me and it’s undeletable.  Very irritating.

I eventually got the messages to clear, but, now the person's profile picture is still on my fitbit app. Very annoying that Fitbit has not directly addressed this. They give weak answers that are not clear...my clear question is how do I clear a persons messages AND their profile picture within my message center?

I have tried everything and nothing is working I have these creepy guys saying "Hi beautiful" "Good morning Georgous " and it's just Cteepy!! So yes tried restarting and still there 😞
