How do I completely turn off these kinds of messages? They're intrusive and I didn't opt in. (I don't want to "Provide feedback", I don't want the feature to be enabled 🙂 )
According to https://help.fitbit.com/articles/en_US/Help_article/2435: "WHAT ARE THE MESSAGES AT THE TOP OF THE TODAY TAB?"
"Occasionally, you’ll receive messages based on your Fitbit data giving you insight into different aspects of your health and wellness. These messages may be about general wellness, activity, nutrition, mindfulness, sleep patterns, and more.
Tap the X in the top right to dismiss a message. Provide feedback on a message by tapping the thumbs up icon or the thumbs down icon."

they want us to subscribe. A subscription is the way these suck puppies will survive in the new milenium.

Signed up here to try and turn these ridiculous messages off. I've disabled every single notification type in my settings to no avail.
Not only are these messages completely pointless and intrusive they're almost impossible to easily dismiss on an iPhone, taking on average half a dozen attempts to close. To add insult to injury there are often several more pointless messages hiding underneath that need to be dismissed too.
My Ionic is great, but when the time comes to upgrade if these daft 'insights' can't be turned off i'll be buying something else, likely an Apple Watch.

Get rid of these intrusive, meaningless, stupid tips. Very annoying and I want to be able to disable them

Interestingly, they ask in their survey about how well they are doing, whether you will keep using the very expensive device you paid for. they don't ask if you would recommend it to others, or if you will buy from them again. I guess their name is big enough that they don't rely on repeat business or word of mouth.

A workaround fix is removing the apps internet permissions.
Without being able to download each day's useless intrusive bulletin to take up the top half of your dashboard, the app simply shows your dashboard.
It works well offline as it gets the health info via Bluetooth, but I expect it misses out on some updates and obviously cloud storage of your health info. Personally I'm quite happy with my detailed health metrics not being held on fitbit's cloud, so it's a win win.
