Hey team,
recently purchased a charge 4 and I’m wanting to know, if I don’t wear my charge whilst working out using kettlebells is there a way I can add the exercise AND get it to count towards my active minutes?
I tried wearing it upside down however the heart rate wasn’t very accurate at all (108 charge 4 vs 155 wahoo tickr) looking for a solution
would be great if you could connect to an external heart strap for these types activities or be able to log an exercise and type in average heart rate or heart zone data also

Welcome to the Fitbit Community, @Morgs_91.
I appreciate your participation in the Forums and sharing your concern about the way to add the exercise and get it count towards your active minutes. Thanks for the details shared, I am glad to assist you. You can manually log the exercise in the Fitbit app by following the steps from this help article: How do I manually log exercises in the Fitbit app? Manually logged activities override your device's data. Since the active minutes are awarded for moderate-to-intense activity, depending on the details of the exercise you log, you will be awarded with the active minutes. For more information about active minutes, see What are Active Zone Minutes or active minutes on my Fitbit device?
Heart rate can be affected by a number of factors and I recommend checking our article on how to improve its accuracy: How do I track my heart rate with my Fitbit device?
I appreciate your feedback and suggestion about the option to connect to an external heart strap, or the option to log an exercise with an average heart rate or heart zone data. Our team is always working on improving our devices and user experiences, and your comments are always welcome.
