How to remove notifications inside the Fitbit app?

I get a lot of notifications on my iPhone. Are notifications stored on my iPhone? There does not seem to be a way to delete or clear the notifications. If they are stored on my iPhone, they are using memory. If so, how do I delete them/

.

If the development team couldn't figure out that people would want a way to delete notifications you need a new development team. This is UX 101.

Really not impressed with this company's idea of customer service.

Not a solution, It's an evasion. It's sloppy code and lazy coders.

PLEASE, some tech savvy person out there. Help FItbit figure out how to let us delete all the stupid notifications from inside their app. Good grief! Who wants to keep a huge list of comments they’ll never read again on their phone?

Best Answer

Well, how stupid of me. Sure the notifications are gone when you delete the app.

But, if you re-install it, they're right back. It appears, as things now stand, if you use the app, you get the notifications! No way to turn them off that I can see.

As far as I can tell, there isn't one. Sloppy design and poor
implementation. Moreover it appears they could care less about customer
support.

I agree with all the comments posted above. I like to remove all extraneous stuff from my phone and any notification over a day old needs to be gone

I couldn't agree with you more although it appears that Fitbit doesn't see
it that way.

The “Suggested Idea” website page is not working, at least off my iPhone.    When I acknowledge the T&Cs of its use I wind up getting the page does not exist sort of error.

Injust want ant to be able to delete these **ahem** notifications.  I have way too many.  Very bad software to not allow someone to delete these robot created trash messages.

When will you deal with the problem of not being able to delete old notifications in the Fitbit app? There’s a lot of people who want to be able to delete the old notifications that are in the app. Please take care of the problem right away and don’t just give a response saying that you are still working on it because that is not an answer. So have your programmers and coders and the rest of the team actually work on it and fix the problem. I would also like to be able to know why the app sometimes has to look for the Fitbit Charge 2 even if it is close to the phone. I believe that this might be a communication problem, I find that it gets annoying when it says “Syncing” but then says “Searching” or “Looking” and then says “Not connected”. If it is a glitch or a problem with the Bluetooth connection, I would be happy to try any recommendations you have except for deleting the app because I don’t know what the “Restrictions” passcode is. I am using an iPhone SE phone. I know that it sometimes happens whenever I am not connected to Wi-Fi or my iPhone is unable to connect to a Wi-Fi network because it doesn’t stay within the network zone for it to try to connect to the network. I currently have a data block on my account, so I can’t use cellular data for an internet connection.

I have 5 months worth of inane notifications telling me I exercised. I know, I was there.  We need to be able to delete

in app notifications!

There is no way and Fitbit is not inclined to fix it. We beat that dead horse a few months back.

Please make a way to remove dashboard notifications daily on iphone platform. I’ve tried logging out/in - doesn’t work. I currently have notifications dating back 4 months.

Not being able to delete old mssages drives this OCD person to drink!  I have messages that go back 8 months!  Rediculous!  Not being able to do a basic function such as a manual delete is a slap in the face to people like me who like to keep things neat.  At the very least have a regular and RELIABLE purge interval.

As the moderator have you taken the customers/users concerns back to Fitbit? Telling us that you understand our frustration is one thing but actually doing something about it is another. This is an easy fix. I have used other devices and notifications can be easily deleted. I have notifications that’s over a year old, it is very annoying. We appreciate you facilitating a resolution. Thank you.

All we get from FitBit is Platitudes and Attitudes. They are completely
unwilling to provide this most basic of functions. When my Alta bites the
dust I will be looking for a different branded device.

I feel like this is or rather should be, a basic feature, not one to be requested. I am sick of being notified every time someone comments on a post that I have no interest in following
