Hi,

Is it possible to get notifications from messenger and facebook on my new Fitbit Charge 2?

I have iPhone 6s and the newest software update.

Hello @Tvmg15, thanks for joining the Fitbit Community, it's great to have you on board. Smiley Happy

At this moment the Charge 2 is only able to receive notifications from the native messaging app available in any iPhone. There aren't currently plans to release this Facebook Messenger and Whatsapp Notifications on Charge 2. You can learn more about how Fitbit decides what suggestions get released here in our FAQs.

I sincerely apologize for the inconveniences this situation has caused; if there's anything else I can do for you, please feel free to reply.

I read here https://community.fitbit.com/t5/Ionic/Facebook-messenger-notifications/td-p/2296684 that the ionic model can now receive facebook and messenger notifications.. Has anything changed for charge 2? What about viber notifications?

Hello @vassia, thanks for joining the conversation, it's a pleasure for me to welcome you to the Fitbit Community. Smiley Happy

I appreciate you have brought this to my attention. Please note that the Versa and Ionic include a feature called "App Notifications" which lets them receive Notifications from other apps, such as Whatsapp, Messenger, Facebook, Instagram, etc. This feature is not available in the Charge 2 and other trackers other than the Fitbit Blaze, Versa and Ionic.

Thanks again for your patience and understanding, if there's anything else I can do for you, please feel free to reply.

Interesting as I've just received 2 messages from Messenger on my Charge 2 via Bluetooth. This has never happened before. I don't have Bluetooth on permanently so this could have happening for a while and I didn't know about it.

Hello @Lakul, I hope you're doing well, thanks for joining the conversation. Smiley Happy

I appreciate you have shared your experience with us. Please note that the Charge 2 is unable to receive Messenger or Whatsapp Notifications coming from an iOS device. Tell me, are you using an iPhone or an Android phone? Please note that in Android, you have the option to select between Messenger, Messaging, Whatsapp and Hangouts to receive text Notifications.

I hope this clarifies this for you, if there's anything else I can do fro you, please feel free to reply.
