We appreciate the additional details.

So everyone, just an FYI, after poking around real quick, there isn't any easy way to revert to the older app version. You would have to use iTunes, download the older app version and just go through some uninstall, reinstall phases of the fitbit app and go about it that way. Can it be done yes. Is it a pain in the **ahem**....yes lol. If you have time go for it. Again if i find anything else ill let you guys know. I'll probably call fitbit to see if they recommend anything but i believe they will say to log your food through the website for now as a temporary solution.

I have now had to move to another app as adding food via the computer does not work for me. I use Fitbit because it's been the best all in one solution to tracking food and exercise. If this can't get fixed soon I'm going to have to move to other apps and the apple watch. Come on Fitbit you can do better than this.

I’m having the same problem after the latest update. I would log in Silk almond milk and it would change it to Almond Light and up the calories. I would also log something and it would show up for 1 second then disappear. The calories would show that I added it but once you close the app and go back into it the calories would go back to zero (0) or only show the calories for certain items/wrong items. Please fix this Fitbit. I love your products and food logging is a daily thing I do to help me lose weight. I’m going to start logging my food in Fitbit.com until this can be fixed

Yep not only not syncing steps can not log food. I log my food and click it and
a) it doesn’t appear
b) it’s totally different food that I never have eaten

For now the only option is to log into fitbit.com and log your food there.

I have the exact same problem on my iphone 7. Every time I try to log something in, it will disappear. When I return to the app it has completely gone and is not even accounted for in my calorie intake level.

I, too, have the food update problem in 253. It updated last night and is doing weird things. I eat virtually the same breakfast every morning: One slimfast (advanced nutrition chocolate) and my morning coffee. I have made my morning coffee a 'custom meal' since I manually add the ingredients myself and did not want to have to type each piece all the time. I go to log the SlimFast, no problem. Then, I add my custom coffee and my breakfast becomes "Egg substitute" and "Coffee-creamer, French Vanilla". This really needs to be fixed ASAP as food logging is critical to my diet.
Yes, I know we can do it online at Fitbit.com and I have been doing so ever since this happened. However, I want to include my name in the list of those impacted.

Yes my husband and I are both having the same issues. Fine at breakfast this morning but then the app updated and having these issues. Food inputs but then disappears.

It would be nice if we could get an update from Fitbit regarding the time frame for this to be corrected. No news since yesterday. Telling us to log in on a computer is ridiculous. This is a major inconvenience & not the first problem with this company as of late. I love the convenience of having everything in one place but these products are to expensive to have all this hassle. Apple Watch here I come...

I can’t log it on Fitbit.com

Unfortunately still no fix for the latest Fitbit update. This is not very impressive I'm afraid. One side effect of the incorrect recording of food is that the nonsense is being added to my food lists whether I like it or not; so perhaps you might like to get around to enabling food lists to be edited.

I'd like to let fitbit know that their QA sucks..... How is it possible that this obvious and reproducable bug sliped through QA. By the way, I have a new ionic and it has pretty obvious bugs too.

I’ve tried doing it in Fitbit.com and it won’t let me. Going to my Fitnesspal app to start logging in my food. At least there are not having issues with there app. So frustrating that they can’t seem to keep this running smoothly for no more than 2 months. Back in May lots of problems too!!!!

I cannot BELIEVE fitbit has not addressed this. Fitbit is NOT a small company, and the entire purpose of the app is to have the convenience and ease of logging on your phone. Directing fitbit wearers to use the desktop version is insane. Fix the app!
