Macro tracking in iOS app vs web dashboard

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

Does the app track fiber as a percentage of calories differently from the dashboard or anything else?

I can't upload screenshots, but the app shows the following:

466 calories in - 23% carbs (42g) 45% fat (24g) 32% protein (38g)

And the web dashboard:

Calories 466 - fat 24.2g, fiber 18.5g, carbs 42.5g, protein 37.8g.
32% from carbs, 40% fat and 28% protein

Notice the difference in percentages. This morning's breakfast was a serving of Fiber One cereal with milk; along with ham and eggs.

Thoughts?

Thanks

Hi @pdieten. Welcome! It's great to see you around.

Thanks for sharing detailed information about this situation. While it's odd that the macros logged in the Fitbit app differ from your fitbit.com dashboard, so let's work on this together. Since your post didn't mention, please check if your phone and the Fitbit app are updated. Once that is done, give a try to the following steps:

  1. Log out from the Fitbit app.
  2. Force quit the Fitbit app.
  3. Reboot your phone.
  4. Open the Fitbit app and log back in to your account.
  5. Try logging your food and double check if the information matches with your fitbit.com dashboard.

Let me know how it goes.

Hi

None of that made any difference. As far as I can tell the app treats fiber differently from other carbs. Fiber grams aren’t counted.
