Ok, this is a problem relating to the watch face selection.
The one I selected was a 3-day trial and then required a payment to be to Kiezelpay.
Changed the watch face and the problem was resolved.

Actually, I opened the app and resynced and all was well. However, moments later a message popped up from my clock face developer. I think the error might have been related to my chosen clock face (azzbyte "classic analog").
I switched from that clock face to another because I did not want to enter a code into some random developer website.
We we shall see if the error happens again.

Hello @Simgirl500, @TomS63fit and @bagler1111, thanks for joining the Fitbit Community, it's great to have you on board.
Thanks for bringing this to my attention, are you receiving this message in the app or the online Dashboard? Would it be possible for you to reply to me with a screenshot of the message you're getting so I can check this further?
Thanks for your patience and understanding, I'll be waiting for your reply.

Mine came up on my clock face. It took alot of searching before I found the solution was to not use the classic clock face.

Cant actually see the clockface anymore which is kind of fundamental to this actually functioning as a watch. There is nothing wrong with the internet on my phone either.

I figured the solution. The clock face you have selected is not free and it only gives you free days to try it then if you put your card info in the app, it will automatically deduct the amount or if the app can't, it will show error. So I changed the clock face and chose those free ones. They're gone! Problem solved.

It appears to be an issue with clocks faces from 3rd party developers. I have stuck with ones developed by Fitbit and have not encountered this problem again.
