Missing Nutrition section after the app update

Last night I updated the Fitbit app.

This morning I started logging in my food and I’ve noticed that under the Macronutrients section there was no Nutrients section anymore.

I’ve had a hard time finding a place to ask a question about this, eventually l ended up requesting a chat. The person there requested photos, so l sent one from yesterday’s log- complete with the nutrients section, and one from today without the section.

The person asked if l can see the section from yesterday. I said yes. Then they told me to check my log for today, asked me if there is anything else they can help me with and closed the chat before I had time to reply.

Needless to say the Nutrient section is still missing, and I have to check every item l ate for its nutritional value, instead of having an overview.

I am annoyed and upset with this change and with the time l’ve spent trying to speak to someone, and the answer l’ve got.

Please fix the missing nutrient section.

Yes, I just updated the app this morning. Same issue exists though.

Thanks for staying on top of this, Liliya.

I just updated to 3.39.1 and the same problem exisits. The nutrients section for the current day still does not show up and there is no "show" option either.

Best Answer

Is this "show nutrients" problem being worked on?  I and others rely on this handy summary of nutritional information.  Since the "show nutrients" is still available in previous and future days logged, it should not be to difficult to add it to "today's" log.

I can confirm that updating the app to 3.39.1 on my iPhone SE (iOS 14.4) doesn't fix the problem.

Just updated my app to 3.39.1.  It did not fix the missing Nutrition issue, so I tried deleting the app and re-installing it.  The Nutrition information for today is still missing.  Here are my current stats:

iPhone 11
iOS 14.4
FitBit App Version 3.39.1 (1034)
FitBit Charge 4 version 20001.96.29

same!

Having the same issue, no show option for macro and no nutrients section at all. iPhone 11pro Fitbit version 3.39.1 updated today 3/8.

Not sure how to add a screen shot here.

In the versions before the 3.39 there was since some years a link in the app to the detailed nutritional information of the food of eaten during the day (the summary of fats, carbs, protein, fiber eaten in the day), but it has been removed. I will be forced like years ago to open every time the web Fitbit portal to search for this info. It doesn’t make sense.

For more clarity: under the macronutrients there was a link “view more” ; this has disappeared. I’m used to check the fiber totals and they are not listed in macronutrients but they were in “view more”.

It seems as though this issue is being ignored. I just bought the new Fitbit Sense in early February. I had thought about getting an Apple Watch and now I’m regretting my decision. Fitbit has so many issues. I live in an upstairs apartment with two dogs who have to go outside on a regular basis. Some days my Fitbit said I haven’t done any stairs for the whole day. This app is awful and customer service seems non existent!

Are you still working on this issue?? There are a lot of us that rely on this app. We’d appreciate an update.

So, it looks like this has been an issue since Feb 28. Do you guys plan to fix this any time soon?

Shoot, when my kid’s Pokémon app update has a bug, it’s fixed by lunch the same day. Surely you guys have enough on your tech team to be able to fix this in 10 days, yeah? 🤦🏻‍:female_sign:

@BearFriend - Just so you're aware, "floors" isn't actually going up and down stairs. I was wondering the same thing myself when I first got my Fitbit since I'm up and down the stairs in my house all day. I read in the app that it counts a floor when you go up 10 feet or 3m in elevation. So it's not that it's wrong, it's just that's not how it tracks "floors".

I too think that was useful information that is no longer there. would like to see it back

Best Answer

Agreed!  You can see it the next day if you go back and look at previous days, but by then I’ve already eaten it all, so what’s the point??

@Eddino58 -

Actually it has not been "years" as the enhancement was incorporated in July of 2020 per my enhancement request of January 2018 - Dynamic retrieval and display of all daily nutrition values .

Regardless, FitBit is aware that the Current Day's food log does not include nutritional information. All previous days as well as future days include the information.

I too would like to know if a fix for the problem is coming soon. It's been over 10 days with no response on when the issue will be resolved.

This has been a problem for over 10 days with little to no response on when it will be resolved. Since the nutritional information was available in the previous version it seems like it problem that shouldn't take over 10 days to fix.

@LiliyaFitbit

I have just now updated to version 3.39.1.

The nutrient section is still not here.

When will this be fixed?

It’s been 12 days, one update and no solution.

This is getting extremely upsetting.

It seems to me that this company doesn’t give a **ahem** about its customers, or the quality of their services.

Same problem on iPhone 6s. Tried all the suggestions except deleting the app and re-installing cuz it says will lose all my data! Nutrients show on previous days but not Today!

thanks for any help!
