Missing Nutrition section after the app update

Last night I updated the Fitbit app.

This morning I started logging in my food and I’ve noticed that under the Macronutrients section there was no Nutrients section anymore.

I’ve had a hard time finding a place to ask a question about this, eventually l ended up requesting a chat. The person there requested photos, so l sent one from yesterday’s log- complete with the nutrients section, and one from today without the section.

The person asked if l can see the section from yesterday. I said yes. Then they told me to check my log for today, asked me if there is anything else they can help me with and closed the chat before I had time to reply.

Needless to say the Nutrient section is still missing, and I have to check every item l ate for its nutritional value, instead of having an overview.

I am annoyed and upset with this change and with the time l’ve spent trying to speak to someone, and the answer l’ve got.

Please fix the missing nutrient section.

So this doesn’t help the problem and I want to say this couldn’t have been at a worse time as I just had a friend get the free 30 day premium and her doesn’t show either so she had to go with a whole other program instead b/c she only has 30 days to do all of this in and couldn’t get help!
you client me an email and asked if it’s been reported to a team member everytime I have called and waited or chatted w someone they tell me to post here so, it’s been a huge waste of my time to do so. When I post without spending hours searching for the subject usually someone like you finds the correct one. However, I have no clue how to click the this affects me too b/c it just takes me to. List of people affected. This type of customer service sucks, have a place on our apps to click that says report a problem and a quick box for the subject! The fact I have to search a bunch of different “forums” is not worth the time wasted. If this continues after my year is up I would likely switch

Same problem, came back for one day and gone again

It's coming up on 5 weeks since the app update that broke the nutrition info, is there any plan for actually resolving the issue? If so, what is the expected timeframe?

Best Answer

Perhaps we as clients should do a weekly update for Fitbit. It’s clear to me that Fitbit doesn’t know what their clients need to know when things go south, so why not give them a hand?

Here it goes:

Dear Fitbit, in this past week we’ve discovered new apps we can use to bypass the problem you’ve created a while ago. Some customers have switched to other brands, some are researching other products before leaving your boat. Most are still waiting. Don’t get your hopes up that they will ever buy your stuff again after the way you’ve handled this update mishap. We’ve also discovered that this problem only exists on IOS. And it’s 5 weeks old. The moderators gave up. @LiliyaFitbit And STILL there is no time frame set for fixing this issue, and no effective communication from your side.
Overall, people feel they are not heard and their problem is completely ignored.

This is this week’s update.
We’re doing the best we can to fix your issue.
Thank you!

It is now into April and the problem is still not fixed. Any word on a possible solution date? It would be helpful if we were at least told that someone is still working on this. Thanks much!

I think it’s safe to say at this point that this issue holds zero priority for them. I got this reply on Twitter:

Agree. How annoying and it’s not the only problem I’m having with them. I’ve lost my sleeping heart rate chart as well, yet sgain.

The only reply I got was thanks for letting us know about your concern....

Got it, thanks. But so very difficult to get anything done....

Looking for MICRONUTRIENTS ie vitamins, Mineral, etc.  This information disappeared about a month ago.  Important to me!

I love the up date @IRatus @and when I went to reply it gave me a survey n I said no the issue hadn’t been solved n yet the options to choose from, there was nothing for nutrition so closest thing I could chose was premium. So I guess maybe they are getting rid of it altogether or they really don’t want my more surveys on the nutrition problem!
to add insult to injury I’m getting emails asking why I haven’t logged food in the last few days and to use it to maximize my experience 🤪 someone is completely confused. I literally have been so upset at this that I’m choosing to make custom food that says bring back nutrition stats w zero calories.
it’s very clear calling to start a ticket they say go on forums n get votes for it to be resolved even wall the votes nothing is happening.
May your day me merry n May we all learn to never trust companies w ring around the Rosie customer service

Having same problem.  Very annoying!  Am requesting that they will again add nutrients to “today” - not just past days.  It doesn’t help me keep track of important nutrients the way it now is.

Hi @LiliyaFitbit I am sorry to tell you that the issue has not been resolved. The last iOS update came last week and the problems persist. Thanks.

Sorry to say, it is not resolved. Thank you for checking back. I’m not going to worry about it. If it gets fixed, great, but I’ve wasted enough time on this to be continually told it has been, when it actually hasn’t.

I an on an iPhone 6s, iOS14.4.2, have Fitbit 3.40.1 (1043). Unfortunately the issue is not resolved, the show Nutrients function so that I can track my sodium intake is only functional for past days and not on the current day when I need it.

just to be very clear this is the nutrients we are talking about and this is a couple of  days prior to today! This tell us, in the same day,  whether I am over on sugar, salt, carbs etc I don’t know but I also assume the trans fats aren’t showing on any day and I know they have some on the labels I was scanning.

Since I haven't seen a single person saying that the issue has been fixed, I'll guess the moderator's claim that 3.40 fixed the problem is very much not true.
