As of this evening, most of the data for my FitBit One for the past week is missing: Steps, Distance, Floors. On the main Today view the data for today is there and updating, but when I scroll back to previous days it shows the same data as today. The last day for which data is correct is Monday Aug 26.
Some of the data does appear to be intact: Active Minutes and Weight.
Updating the app (iOS) didn't help; nor did restarting my fitbit.
I contacted my parents to see if they were having the same issue; Dad has a FitBit One and saw the same thing; Mom has a different FitBit model and her data seems to be intact. So maybe this is just related to FitBit One? (Which makes no sense, as the past data should be stored on the fitbit server...)
I contacted fitbit help over the chat, and was told they are aware of the issue that that a fix would be coming "sometime in the next several weeks". Which seems way to long to fix an issue that is fundamental to the device.
I'm just wondering if anyone else is seeing this behavior?

Don't hold your breath. I've been waiting since the first update to iOS around February for the seconds to reappear. NOT GOING TO HAPPEN! In the last 10 months there have been 26 updates from the App Store to my Fitbit App. I expected it to be resolved but has only gotten worse and especially since the 4.25 update. I'm now locked out of the app with a freeze on the logo screen.
I'm going to sell my Specialized Stump Jumper and buy an Apple watch. Anyone need a bike?

Got my weekly progress report email this morning and it has all my data from the past week. So the steps (etc.) data is in fact sitting on their servers; it just doesn't display in the app? (And only for Fitbit One users? This makes no sense...)

I'm having this issue as well. Fitbit One, iPhone with latest app, and no data since August 26th after updating to the latest version of the app last week. I've tried resyncing my Fitbit, removing and reinstalling the app, rebooting the phone, etc. Nothing works. I did just get my weekly update email and that correctly shows the steps for the past week, wo the fitbit is definitely syncing. This is a display issue with the app.
Also super annoying that you can no longer view your steps on the website. Looking through older posts, this happens frequently and the "fix" was always to check it online, but that's no longer an option.

Yes - I had the same thing this morning. Relieved to know my data is still there, but not sure why the app can't display it. And sometimes does, then takes it away again. It seems from the replies to my post that there are some other Fitbit devices having the same issue besides the Fitbit One, but those of us that use the One seem to be the most affected.

Thank you for your efforts! Fingers crossed they get this patched quickly given how widespread it is.

The whole thing is very strange, because in my app, it still shows my step streak is alive so between that and the weekly update email showing the information, it's clearly being recorded. Just the app seems to be having issues displaying a couple of fields. It does show my active minutes accurately for every day, so it's odd that only steps and miles are not showing, and calories are only partially showing. Hopefully will be resolved soon.

For what it's worth, an informal poll among friends suggests that they can still see their previous days totals; none ofvthem have migrated their account to google, none of them are using FitBit Ones. I cannot tell if everyone experiencing these issues is using a One, but a lot of us seem to be; and a lot of us if not all seem to have already migrated the account to google.

Everything zero on my One except active minutes. Last day I have data is 26 August. Really frustrating, don’t want to lose sync support for my one as none of the other products has what I want from a tracker: small profile, clip on (without having to purchase accessories!), height climbed and of course steps/distance. Will be looking at other companies if this isn’t resolved soon but Fitbit probably don’t care as it’s an old device

I’m having the same issue since August 27th. Steps are not going over to the app. I have a Fitbit one and have called Fitbit support numerous times. Active minutes is still working. Steps will not sync then sometimes they do then they disappear. It is frustrating. I hope the issue is resolved soon. Glad I found this community.

Yes - it seems to be just a very frustrating situation for FitBit One users and it has been reported to FitBit for over 2 weeks and still not fixed. The good news is that it seems to be purely and app presentation issue. I have a step streak of over 1000 days going, and I was worried that was going to end, but my app still shows those days increasing every time I pass my goal. So that tells me the underlying data is there still, but it just isn't showing up on the dashboard. So bizarre that active minutes is still syncing to the dashboard appropriately. I think everyone is getting partial calories reflected, full active minutes, but no steps or miles. It does help to know that you're not the only one out there experiencing this issue!

For what it's worth, I ordered an Inspire 3 about a month ago because my One was experiencing periodic "events" where the battery just completely dies unexpectedly. The Inspire 3 has a similar clip option to the One. I have not started using it yet, because, strangely, since the app issue came up, my One is not losing battery power out of the blue. I'm sure this is just pure coincidence, but haven't taken the Inspire out of the package yet.

Just updated to 4.26 on iOS, and it is still behaving the same way.

Updated to 4.26 on IOS and also just getting the same - no historical data since August 26. It is interesting how consistent that is across all the reports people have had about this. The data is being captured as you can see when you have achieved certain badges since that date.

just contacted Fitbit support by phone this morning to see if there’s a resolution. Unfortunately not at this time they are hoping the next update will fix the issues with the app but they could not give me a date when the next update will be available.

Same problem with me. I’ve tried all the suggested remedies but none work.
Any further ideas about when this problem will be fixed?

I have lost my info for Friday & Saturday and the time on my fitbit is wrong...can"t get it set. No use having one if its going to take a couple of weeks to get it fixed.

Hello davereadscomics, thanks for posting this. I have a Fitbit One and have exactly the same problem with the app going back to and starting on 27 August. From that day onward, each day's data on the app is dumped at midnight, with the exception of the active minutes data, and everything reverts to zero. As the counts increase during the day, those figures, with the exception of the active minutes, are displayed identically for each day back to 27 August 2024. It would appear, however, that while the data is not displaying on the app it is not completely lost and is being stored somewhere as I was able to export/dowload the data by opening the app and going to 'Settings' then 'Manage data and privacy' then selecting 'Export your data' then selecting 'Export a selection of your Fitbit data' whereupon you can choose the period of the data required and the fields required as well as the format: CSV or Microsoft Excel. One can then download the data. One can also set the weekly progress report on the app to receive the weekly stats by email. Neither option is a real solution of course and one wonders what is going on at Google? It's coming up to four weeks since the problem started and that's not acceptable.
