Missing data for past week

As of this evening, most of the data for my FitBit One for the past week is missing: Steps, Distance, Floors. On the main Today view the data for today is there and updating, but when I scroll back to previous days it shows the same data as today. The last day for which data is correct is Monday Aug 26.

Some of the data does appear to be intact: Active Minutes and Weight.

Updating the app (iOS) didn't help; nor did restarting my fitbit.

I contacted my parents to see if they were having the same issue; Dad has a FitBit One and saw the same thing; Mom has a different FitBit model and her data seems to be intact. So maybe this is just related to FitBit One? (Which makes no sense, as the past data should be stored on the fitbit server...)

I contacted fitbit help over the chat, and was told they are aware of the issue that that a fix would be coming "sometime in the next several weeks". Which seems way to long to fix an issue that is fundamental to the device.

I'm just wondering if anyone else is seeing this behavior?

@S.Hff I agree with your assessment that the app doesn't have access to the dashboard data.  Seems to me to be related to the API issues that were supposedly resolved nearly a month ago, but clearly are not.  It will be interesting to see if your steps from today are showing up tomorrow.  Please update!  I am still holding out hope for a successful resolution for all of us.

To answer your question - no, they are not. All values are gone again. Additionally, the app didn't give notice for low battery so that my One switched off over night and doesn't have steps for today yet. I'll get back to this tomorrow.

Yes - I updated to latest version of the app a couple of days ago, restarted my phone, and I still have no data showing up since 8/27.  It looks like there have been MANY updates to the app for "bug fixes" and the like, but we're now approaching 2 months of the app not being able to reflect underlying data that is clearly there.  Appreciate everyone continuing to follow up on this with Fitbit - it just appears that they have no interest whatsoever in fixing this issue. The simplest thing would just be to go back to the version of the app from mid-August and allow it to work like it always did.

I haven't seen steps in the app for over 50 days.

If this doesn't get fixed soon, I will definitely get another tracker and it will not be a Fitbit.  Judging by their sense of urgency with this issue, I don't think they really care about their customers very much.  50 days and counting...

50 days zero response. I’m out of Fitbit now, no good buying a new device from companies with no customer service

I have a Fitbit one. I know it’s an old model but surely Fitbit have responsibility for keeping it updated?

How can we go back to an earlier version?

Exactly, I would really appreciate it.
In the meantime, I had been able to see yesterday’s steps and today’s steps. Yesterday’s steps only yesterday (today it’s showing zero again), most likely today’s steps only today. A pain in the **ahem**.

Hello penny26 and all other frustrated Fitbit One users.  The data is still not displaying in the app for anyone of us.  I have noticed one change during the past week.  Previously, data for the current day was displayed on the previous day's statistics if one clicked on the 'Yesterday' arrow; now, previous days' statistics remain at 0, except for Active Minutes, Weight and Energy Burned, which for me is recorded as a ridiculous 1,478 calories!  In the meantime, it takes at least seven attempts to synchronise my app with my Fitbit One and the data reverts to zero several times a day.

I find it laughable that each time Google issues an update to its app that it states it is for "Bug fixes and performance improvements" - where are the fixes and improvements?

I plan to call Google during the coming week and ask the company to come clean with it's position.  It's a lamentable story for a supposed software company.

Keep exercising!

Please keep us posted, then. I agree that this is completely ridiculous and unacceptable.

@S.Hff Thank you for the update and sorry about the battery notice.  That just adds insult to injury, doesn't it?  My Android Fitbit app version is still 4.27, and no changes for my One.  The tracker is working just fine, but that's about it.

@MPB-1 Thanks for the post.  I have weight and calories for prior days, but the calories are the same every day except for the current day.  Synching with the Android phone app is also unreliable.  If it does sync, it often reverts to zero shortly.  Meanwhile, my trusty One tracker is trooping along like a champ, working flawlessly, just like it has for many years.  I suspect Google hates that, since they would rather sell me a new device.  That is certainly not going to happen!

Hope you have success with your call. Tell them that there are many frustrated users out here waiting to have their records restored.
