My Bluetooth keeps disconnecting

My Fitbit keeps disconnecting from my Bluetooth on my phone, I've reset it several times and it will connect then disconnect and erase my data. Idk if it's a phone issue or an issue with the Fitbit

I just updated Fitbit App and nothing got better. I cannot leave "all day sync" on because as soon as bluetooth disconnects, it turns off that options & also affects notifications. I am not one bit happy about the constant reinstalling the app, connecting withtracker to charger & restarting waiting for it to reload. I wish I'd gotten the smaller Versa or the Ionic.
My Charge 2 never causes a single problem. It's just not totally accurate on steps in certain situations. I wear an ankle band & it is accurate !
Charge 3 has NEVER shown heartbeat/heart-rate on Dashboard. Charge 2 ALWAYS shows it! If Charge 2 was swim proof, I would just use it & give your Charge 3 mess back. It's been a constant problem for everyone with a Charge 3.

Disappointed ☹️ !!

No one should have to remove ANYTHING from bluetooth. It's designed to connect to all bluetooth enabled devices you pair to. I did

That's exactly what mine does. No one should have to go through a "process" daily or multiple times daily to use a NEW Fitbit tracker. Charge 3 was so exciting until the long wait & it finally arrived. ☹️

Hi @Ohlmus@Steve300 and @wybrowneyedgirl. it's always great to see you around. I'm sorry for my delayed response.

I see where are you coming from about your devices not staying connected, and I'm sorry that you're having this experience. While I understand how you're feeling about this, we recommend the steps posted above to troubleshoot this situation. As mentioned through this thread, there are some factors that may prevent your device from pairing via Bluetooth. For example, if your iOS mobile isn't a supported device, or if you have multiple Bluetooth connections nearby when connecting via Bluetooth.

In that doesn't apply to you, please try removing your device from the Bluetooth settings one more time. Then open the Fitbit app, tap the Account icon > Fitbit device > Notifications and accept the prompt to pair via Bluetooth. Also, make sure the Fitbit app and the iOS version are updated. Please note that iOS 13 beta isn't yet compatible with the Fitbit app.

@Steve300, I appreciate your great help, as well for taking the time to share your insights about this situation. Just to confirm, are you having this issue with an iOS device or with an Android device?

Let me know how it goes.

Seems like everyone’s having the same problem!

ny Fitbit charge 3 was fine for a few months all of a sudden it keeps disconnecting and then not connecting up again. This is getting annoying now. I’ve turned Bluetooth off and on that didn’t work, turned phone off and on that didn’t work, unpaired my Fitbit and repaired it, every now again it starts working and then stops again why is this?. Shouldn’t have this issue it’s not that old

I have done all the things suggested and it is now happening on a daily basis  mostly overnight. It's so frustrating.  It seems to happen about 6 am when the time doesn't sync by about 30 minutes. I dont know what else to do!!

I ordered my Hubby a new Charge 3 for Christmas. I saw how many things did NOT work on my Charge 3 (15 mos old) when I set his up. I should’ve returned mine back in Oct, 2018 before they got all the bugs out of SOME Charge 3’s.
It’s Valentine’s 2020 now & Hubby ordered me a NEW Charge 3. My first one SHOULD’VE lasted way more than a year.
We’ll see how my new one works. If there is ONE glitch or one need for troubleshooting the first 45 days, that sucker is going BACK for a FULL refund.
Funny I can keep an iPhone for 2 yrs & sell it back to Apple in excellent condition in full working order for $250 towards the next version. But a Frbit Tracker won’t last 3 months without going through the and ritual multiple times daily JUST to get it to sync. It has recently been WAY OFF on my sleep hours, also. VERY DISAPPOINTING! If my new Fitbit Tracker arriving today has to go back, I will buy an Apple Sportswatch! At least I can count on Apple!

Try clearing your notifications on the watch itself. Swipe down. Scroll all the way up and hit clear all

My Fitbit Ionic intermittently disconnects from bluetooth on my iPhone.  If I uninstall and then reinstall the Fitbit app on my iPhone, will that wipe out any unsynced data?

Mine disconnects also, do you really expect reliability from a software co. If they do make it reliable, they will out date it and make you update. That is their business model. I have replaced 2 of them first one on warranty and the other one I switched to another brand. Time to switch this one out too to another brand. Looking for recommendations for one that is reliable. Wife has Apple Watch that is not too awful bad.

I recently purchased a new Luxe tracker. For the first few days, everything seemed to be fine. Then, I noticed that it wasn't syncing with the Fitbit app on my iPhone 6s. I checked and saw that the Fitbit app on my phone couldn't find my tracker. I went to the Bluetooth settings on my phone, and I saw that my phone was not connected to my tracker. I tried to connect the two, but my phone said that it could not find my tracker. I eventually found that if I "reset" my tracker by attaching it to the charger, maybe - maybe - I could get my Fitbit app to sync from my phone. I thought that maybe every day when I shut down and restarted my phone, my connection reset and that I would have to reset the connection every morning. Then, I realized that the connection didn't even last over the course of the day. I don't know how long the connection lasts and when and how it gets disconnected.
I've tried turning my Bluetooth on and off, re-pairing my Luxe tracker in both the Fitbit app and in my phone's Bluetooth settings, offloading and re-installing the Fitbit app on my phone, and even resetting my phone's network settings. Nothing seems to have worked. Does anyone know why this is happening and how to fix it? Should I replace my Luxe? Should I upgrade my phone? Should I go back to using my old Alta HR, which is still functional? I have no idea why this started happening, as I cannot think of anything that would have caused this change.

I gave up on my Fitbit. Get a Garmin unit, I never have any problems connecting.

I also gave up, I bought an Apple Watch.  I actually still have my Fitbit and have used it once or twice but can’t see myself going back. The community feature is great except for there are so many fake friend requests that it takes away from the whole FitBit experience.
