Fitbit Update 5/25/2017

Thank you for taking the time to share feedback. I can assure you the comments have been and continued to be reviewed and shared with our iOS team.

As a reminder, I'm including our help article on the Fitbit app here.

Overwhelmingly, recent posts share the sentiment of no longer being able to revert back to the original dashboard and not having the option to choose. At this time there are no plans to revert access to the old Dashboard, but we always appreciate feedback on how to improve our app.

As a reminder, Please remember to keep your posts respectful and on-topic, per our Community Guidelines. This thread will be better for everyone as a constructive conversation.

Fitbit Update 8/17/2016

Beginning with version 2.26 of the Fitbit app for iOS, the new Fitbit app dashboard with an updated look is now fully implemented. You can no longer return to the old design. We're constantly striving to improve Fitbit products and services, and we appreciate all of the feedback we receive from our customers.

You can find information about the new app dashboard and how to start using it by clicking here.

Fitbit Update 5/25/2016

I'm very pleased to announce that iOS users who have updated to version 2.23 of the Fitbit iOS App are now able to opt-in to use a preview of a new design of the Fitbit iOS dashboard!

One of my favorite features for this new dashboard preview is the quick log button in the bottom-center of the iOS App. This feature allows users to quickly: track an exercise, log food, log sleep, log water, send a friend request, scan a food barcode (if you are using the US food database), log their weight, or set an alarm.

Users can opt-in to use the new iOS dashboard design by:

1. Updating to version 2.23 of the Fitbit iOS App, click here to be redirected to the iOS App Store.

2. Click the Account button in the bottom right-hand corner.

3. Scroll down and click the Advanced Settings button.

4. Toggle the Preview New Dashboard button at the top of the page on.

Simple answer and suggestion, either let us revert to the last iterarion of the dashboard which was fully funtional or make the new one work! It should upadete the stats in chonological order (ALL STATS) the history is already at your fingertips, this was a very idiotic decision to impose someone dafts vision on your customers!

I don't understand how more clearly we can "suggest" that Fitbit either reverts back to the original dashboard, or return to us the toggle switch that was removed with version 2.26 of the app.

Your forums are riddled with this request.  Multiple "suggestions" have been posted in your feedback area for votes, and your app is taking a significant ratings hit on the app store.

It seems to me, that Fitbit taking the classic approach of just quietly riding out the storm of complaints, in hopes that this request will just quietly go away?

Personally, I'm getting very SICK of the moderators pretending like FitBit cares and asking us to waste more of our time creating new posts or commenting on existing one.

There are NUMEROUS people who are willing to put up with the new dashboard if they fix the issue with the PREVIOUS DAYS data never updating on all tiles when you flip back.

Per moderator recommendation, this complaint has had its own separate post in the "suggestions" forum with 73 votes and has gotten NO RESPONSE from FitBit. It's been 3 months and numerous updates but they refuse to care.

Has anyone actually flagged a moderator, or are you upset that none has accidentally stumbled across the thread?

Since I've seen other conversations about the past days promblem where a moderator was involved I'll assume fitbit knows.

I totally understand where you're coming from as sometimes we don't like change.

This is not about "not liking change" (a great way to stiffle discussion btw), but the thing doesn't even work correctly. Scroll back a day and only some of the stats get updated. Either Fitbit doesn't care or it has problems understanding its customers. Perhaps another 1-star review on the App Store will help?

When is the Android update coming??

I have been using the new Dashboard since it was previewed but as a Flex user for over a year I prefer the old dashboard. I have given the new interface a fair trial but for my purposes the old one works better. Can't we have it as an option?  You already have the code for both Dashboards, all we need is a switch!

Thanks

I am refusing to update my app over this.  I like the old dashboard and want to keep it.  It was simple and it worked.  new dashboard is messy and confusing.  It's too busy!  what's wrong with simple but effective?

I'm sure we'll all be FORCED to update the app very soon.  Already, it won't let me click on Vernal Falls challenge without updating.  That's okay, I don't care about that challenge.

Really hate the new dashboard and that it has been made mandatory.  But it isn't mandatory that I keep using fitbit and will be throwing it out and buying something else. Might be time for that Apple Watch.

I hate the new dashboard. I updated my iPad and now I can't go back to the older dashboard. I refuse to update my iPhone.

Hate to tell you it will update itself and you can't go back.

I'll keep the old one as long as I can. The band on my surge is beginning to wear out. I'll be looking at apps and reviews when I have to replace it.....it may not be with another Fitbit product. There are many complaints about the new app. I've read them. The new app dashboard isn't as user friendly as the old. I'm always amazed that the largest companies put out the crapyest apps.

Has anyone with the old dashboard (version 2.27 and before) updated to iOS 10? If so, is that older version compatible with iOS 10? Also, did upgrading to iOS 10 change your automatic update settings for apps from "do not automatically update" to "automatically update"? I am avoiding updating my iOS, just in case the old dashboard is not compatible with iOS 10.

I would love to hear from someone about iOS10 and the old dashboard as well.

However, the fitbit app may no longer be an issue for me soon, since my 18 month old Charge HR is starting to fall apart (both sides of the band are pulling away from the center display) I am becoming really unhappy with not only fitbit's ignoring their customers but also the quality of their products.  A product that is designed to be worn almost 24/7 and costs over $130 should have a longer life expectancy.

With fitbit's current stance of ignoring customers plus the decline in the quality of their products (earlier fitbit versions I had lasted way longer) I really can't see giving them any more of my money.

I agree with you 100%. Fitbit is not what it once was.

$133 over 18 month period is $0.24 a day, or less than 2 cups of Starbucks coffee a month.
It doees look like they are watching, with all the new models having replaceable bands.

Fitbit might read this, but if you rely want to get their attention, then it is possable to tag a moderator or contact Fitbit..
Now in relation to the post count, there are only a few moderators, and these forums are setup mainly for users to help users.

Hello! I have a 5c which I updated to iOS10 this past Sunday morning. I
have ver 2.25 (I believe) which has the old dashboard despite the banner in
red at the top that tells me about trying out the new dashboard. It works
just fine to the best of my knowledge, it functions just as before...I just
haven't done any GPS walking routes with it yet to check that part, but
everything else is working OK. iOS 10 did not change my settings to update
apps automatically. I still update my manually, and obviously NOT my
fitbit app.
