Fitbit has changed the display on the app for exercise sessions. Lost the heart rate graph :chart_increasing: which was a nice layout. The new version is nowhere near as good.
How do we get previous version back??!

Hey magnetix, great find. Gotta ask, what kind of phone are you running the mobile app on? Do you start exercises on your fitbit or use autostart? Also, do you utilze GPS? I have numerous issues with apple devices, however, everything presents properly on the website dashboard with Windows devices

Should have said Tap rather than Click.

Morning deanezoid, here is a pictorial of how to drill down on the app. Start on the main screen and tap on the Exercise days.
This will bring you to the following page
Now tap on the actual exercise (the walk) and you will see the following
In the top right corner of this screen is the upload symbol, beside the edit and delete symbols, Tap the upload symbol and you should see this.
Now, Tap on the exercise icon or whatever chart you wish to see and you should see this.
From here, tap te exercise to get the full details. You will notice that two of the exercises include maps, the maps will only show up if you.. activate the GPS function on your fitbit inside the exercise feature. After tapping the exercise you want to see, I tapped the map to get the following. First map would not load, not sure why.
from here you tap the icon to see the chart, I have the heart rate highlighted. This process, as long as it is, will still not give you detailed times for each zone, ie fatburn, vigorous and peak. You can try the mthod I detailed in a previous post on this thread to see if that works for you. It is much less complicated than this one.

Agree, the app. is useless now. I won't be back to check on any of it. This is my final fitbit, I will purchase from a different company when this one stops.
By reading the reviews, that won't be long.....

Totally agree. They completely messed up the whole dashboard. I hate it

Very poor app update, but I have a way to get back to the original exercise progress page, with the proper breakdown of heart zones / activity minutes / HR chart / calories burned / impact on your day... go to the fitbit exercise tile on your fitbit, where it will say "for more exercise data, open the fitbit mobile app" , press open and then a notification pops up on your phone which takes you to the "classic" exercise progress page!
No doubt, this workaround will eventually be removed, but I'll use this for now and if removed, I'm off to Garmin!! (which is a shame after all these years on Fitbit)

do they really think this changes is an improvement and why do they do these changes without any notification let alone consultation!?
----
if you click on the arrow at the top it does take you to 'Exercise' option where you can se more detail but on my 5 it sometimes doesn't show all info and/or the screen freezes!
----
More simple!!

I don’t get that display on my Fitbit. I have a charge 5. Mine says “EDIT: Exercise shortcuts in my mobile Fitbit app. Probably I’m doing the wrong thing. I’m hopeless at technology.

Good morning Unhappyx100. You are not alone on feeling hopeless with technology. I have discovered several ways to dig down into the layers the fitbit app and my iphone, each time getting different results. I am not a techie, but I think our fitbit accesses Google maps on our iphone in order to utilize the GPS feature on our iphone. With that in mind make sure location services on google maps is set to "when sharing". On the fitbit itself make sure that GPS is set to "dynamic" in order to utilize your iphone and save the fitbit battery. In addition, on the fitbit itself, swipe left to find the exercise you want (walking, running, whatever) and make sure GPS it set to "on". I also manually start the exercise, either on the fitbit itself or within the moble app. By doing this I do get a map, detailed times within each zone and a heart rate chart of my walks. It sometimes take up to 30 seconds to load, but it will eventually load. I would also suggest only making one change at a time, do a short exercise and check your results. This will allow you to see the impact of that one change.

The graph was so cool to look at and see when you move through zones. Hard to believe a company related to fitness wouldn't see the value in this and remove it. Orange theory is making fortune upon fortune providing people this info. Meanwhile fitbit decides to replace it with an awkward and uninformative graph. But hey, I can see how many steps I took during exercise (as if that really matters). Seems out-of-touch to me.
