The suggestion above didn't fix notifications. I was receiving notifications for a day, but next day all notifications(not just text/phone) stopped.

I just updated my iPhone SE with the most recent iOS (Version 12.1), and that seems to have solved the problem, at least for now. We'll see if it lasts...

Hi, I was having the same issues with not receiving notifications so I deleted my Charge2 and am trying to set it back up and now I can’t get the app to recognize my Charge2. I also don’t think my FitBit was syncing with the app. I have iOS 12 on my phone. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Chiming in to say I've tried all of this on my Versa and nothing is making the text notifications come through. I get email and 250 step notifications and some other apps just fine, but not texts. This is essential for me and a main reason I have this device. Please advise.
I have the Versa and am using iPhone 7 with iOS 12.0.1

iOS 12.1, Charge 3: In the meantime I manage to get notifications after I remove the Charge 3 from the Bluetooth devices and add it again using the Fitbit app, but this works only for a limited amount of time. After a certain time (I guess once phone and Charge 3 were disconnected) the Charge 3 does get any notifications anymore. This is of course not very useful... 😞

I too have called Fitbit 3 times and have gone through all the the suggested troubleshoot both in this site and via tech support to no avail. The text notification feature on the charge 2 was the most value added feature for me on this product which is why I bought it in the first place. I asked tech support what the anticipated timeframe for the fix was and was given an ambiguous answer. When will this be resolved?! Essentially this issue reduces a key functionality of a product that is on the market...if you don’t plan on fixing it then you shouldn’t be selling or at least warning those with iPhone to not purchase it

Since the update, I don’t even have the option in the app to receive any notifications other than those from FitBit. There are no options to receive any sort of notifications from my phone.

Are you getting any closer to having this issue resolved. I have done all of the different reset options and nothing worked. Still not receiving my text messages. I would have returned my ionic if I could have found the receipt.

I have tried everything over the last couple months to fix my fitbit. It wasn't receiving texts but was notifying calendar and phone calls. over the last week or so, now nothing is notifying. I have tried everything under the sun on the forums and youtube. This is so frustrating. any help or solution yet for this, the fitbit is a glorified pedometer and heart rate monitor now..... charge 2 user

@Amanda_mae, if you have removed your Charge 2 from your account and it's not setting up back, please go to the Bluetooth settings on your phone and check if your tracker is on the list of paired devices. If it is, tap on it and select Forget this Device, then try to set up again, making sure there are no other Bluetooth devices that might interfere with the setup process.
Thanks again for your patience and understanding, I hope you have a great week.

Hi all,
I still can’t get message notifications on my iPhone. I’ve done updates, resets and checked all settings. Is there something wrong with the app still since I updated my phone?

I received a new brand new iPhone and after downloading my stuff from iCloud I decided to fire up the Fitbit app and pair my reliable Charge 2. Suffice to say, my iPhone was not interested in pairing any blue tooth device, even though the Settings had been toggled on and off several time to try an enable scanning and device finds. I even dropped my Charge 2 from the Fitbit app and tried to re-add it. After a couple hours of frustration I saw a post for synchronization problems that said reboot your phone. Why not, I had tried pretty much everything else. To my pleasant surprise the reboot did enable blue tooth properly on reboot. Suffice to say, moments later my Charge 2 was paired and life is good except....
This was NOT a Fitbit problem. This was a IOS problem, you should not have to reboot your phone in order to clear states or to enable features that should be controllable through Settings. Apple needs to fix their IOS here.
