Update 12/5/2018: I'm sorry to hear some users are still not receiving notifications on iOS 12. We continue to monitor this issue and are working on a resolution. If you haven't already, please try toggling bluetooth on/off and ensure your Apple device is up to date.

Hello everyone, I hope you're doing well.
I appreciate some of you have come back and let us know Notifications are up and running on your devices. For those of you who are still having trouble, please update the Fitbit app if you haven't done it yet. If you have an Ionic, Versa o Charge 3, make sure to update the firmware as well.
Now, if you have already done it and you're still having trouble, please let me know which device are you using and its correspondent version (go to Account > Your device to get it) so we can check this further. Keep in mind that your device nor the app affect in any way your phone Settings, vibration or ringing.
Thanks for your patience and understanding, we'll be waiting to hear from you.

I have the Fitbit Flex 2 version 2.84. My iPhone is a 6S+ running on IOS 12.1.2. I lost the text and phone notifications and cannot get them set up again. Please help.

Can you please post the instructions to update the firmware on an Ionic? Saying do something without instructions doesn’t help solve the problem. Thank you.

Hello @MarcoGFitbit,
My Fitbit Charge 3 is also not notifying me of received text messages. It does give notification of phone calls, emails (gmail) and messenger. I have followed all steps provided as solutions to no avail.
Product specs are as follows:
Fitbit Charge 3 (version: 20001.49.45)
iPhone 8 (iOS 12.1.2)
Fitbit App (version 2.84)

My charge 2 started to receive texts this morning.
I did nothing to solve the issue since yesterday when it did not work.
A Christmas miracle? bah-humbug, I doubt it.
Let’s see how long it works this time.

Running iOS 12.1.2 on iPhone 7 and i just updated the firmware on my Ionic to 33.1.30. Was working when I went to bed at 3 a.m. and now 6 hours later has stopped. Ridiculous that it’s not working again

Was receiving text and call notifications but hasn't been working for a couple of weeks. Tried all the troubleshooting tips to no avail.

When can this be expected to be solved? I have had several fitbits over the years and I relied on the text notification feature. I just updated to the Versa from the Alta and still no text notifications.
UPDATE:
I deleted and re-downloaded the Fitbit app. I used he Alta for 2 and a half years and just got the versa for Christmas. Text notifications stopped working on my Alta and they don’t work on my new Versa either. My Versa is version 33.1.30. Everything is updated and still no text notifications.

Hi,
is is there an update on this issue? I’ve just gotten a new Alta HR and have tried all recommendations in this thread. Not receiving any notifications. I’m using iPhone 7 with iOS 12.1.2
If I can’t get this feature working, I will return the device.

I have a Fitbit Blaze software 8.402.1 which hasn’t been working for nearly 3 months. This is ridiculous.
i am currently using an iPhone 8 with iOS 12.1.2
i have done the following:
deleted the Fitbit app
deleted the blaze on the app and reinstalled it
updated the Fitbit app and updated the software on my phone
rebooted the blaze
reset the Network settings on my phone
shutdown my blaze and restarted it
rebooted my phone
i get notifications for when my phone rings but NOT for messages

Still no progress for me either.
It works for once I mess with it, such as having someone send a text but then a few hours later I feel my phone buzzing and my watch does nothing.
Its been like like this for over a month now. I’m getting pretty fed up. Thinking about leaving Fitbit because of this. This is the number one feature I use for my Fitbit next to the battery life.
