Hello @Danthebassman
I see your having trouble with getting notifications. Yes this is a known issue that Fitbit is indeed working on. I can offer some help but I can’t make any promises because these steps don’t help everyone but I have seen them help lots of others as well. (I can’t tell you why....maybe different device types etc) But again I think it’s worth a shot right. 😃 (unfortunately I have no answer for the preview issue but hopefully this “might” work for you.
First open your Fitbit app
Tap your profile picture in upper left
scroll down to the name of your Fitbit and tap it (It’s located just under “My Family”
scroll down and tap notifications
enable the notifications you want in green
now simply tap “today” at the bottom of your screen to get back to the main page
Now lets make sure your iOS device is set up correctly:
go to:
your iOS device settings>location services >Fitbit>Always on
also Go to:
your iOS device setting>Fitbit>Location>Always on
also go to:
your iOS settings >notifications >messages>Select always under show previews
Now Go to your Bluetooth:
***Your previews will show but this is only a workaround for now. I do know Fitbit is aware of the issue and will hopefully fix the issue soon in an update***
😃 Hopefully something here will help. Please keep me let me know.

I’m really sorry @Danthebassman
I do know Fitbit is working on this issue so I would keep an eye on this thread where individuals like yourself are sharing ideas, tips and seeking answers to your exact issue here: https://community.fitbit.com/t5/iOS-App/Stopped-seeing-notifications-after-updating-to-iOS-13/td-p/3...
Good luck to you
Best AnswerThank you @SunsetRunner! I have the Blaze so the instructions were a bit different. However, once I turned location services to always on, it synced right away and I'm getting notifications again.
I tried the directions and my blaze still won’t show notifications and when I call or someone calls me it shows someone is calling but if I have already talked to that person and hung up. So strange. Just want my notifications back.
Best AnswerHello @Jdress06
As I mentioned Notifications are currently an issue the Fitbit Team is working on. Please looK here:https://community.fitbit.com/t5/iOS-App/Stopped-seeing-notifications-after-updating-to-iOS-13/td-p/3...
On page one of this thread will give you all the information currently know to help resolve your notifications issue. The directions are helping some, but not everyone. I have no idea why. (Maybe different Settings deeper in different iOS devices? I have no clue) But please try all the steps on page one of that thread and keep a look out there to see any further updates as they come in. Hopefully a fix will come soon. I wish I could be of more help but I can’t.
Best AnswerSo, you all might have discovered this already, but I just found it out for myself. I was having the exact same notification problem on my Ionic with iOS v13 until I went into Bluetooth >> my devices >> Ionic(or your Fitbit) ; Press the “I” next to your device >> Then turn on “Share System Notifications”.
As I said I might be late to the game with this fix or it might not apply to all. Just thought I’d share.
I have tried everything - bluetooth reset fit bit update fitbit app ext and nothing works. when will this be fixed any help offered is much appreciated thanks
Best AnswerHello and welcome @DCoops19
Im sorry you’re still experiencing notifications issues. My only suggestion is to keep an eye out on this thread: https://community.fitbit.com/t5/iOS-App/Stopped-seeing-notifications-after-updating-to-iOS-13/td-p/3...
If there is any update or fix you would find it here. Try going to the last couple of pages in the thread. You will see there are a few individuals who are finding success in getting their notifications to work but you will see previews. I’m really sorry that I can’t be anymore help.
Best AnswerHello and welcome @dbuzz
I’m sorry you’re still not receiving notifications. Any and all notifications information can be found here: https://community.fitbit.com/t5/iOS-App/Stopped-seeing-notifications-after-updating-to-iOS-13/td-p/3... If any new information, tips or updates pertaining to notifications it will be posted there when they become available. I’m sorry I can’t help more then that.
Best AnswerI agree. Or Garmin, Fitbit just seems to disappoint more and more. They won’t even offer me a refund since mine was a gift.
Best AnswerThis actually worked!!! I am truly appreciative of your posting. I was going to give up. I really missed receiving my texts with the iOS update. I tried everything and thought I'd give it another try. Thank you so much!!! I've not had the notifications on my Blaze for months. Why didn't Fitbit know this to share with me when I called them months ago? Very poor on their part. They should have been way ahead of this and worked harder to rectify it. Truly grateful for the help from you. Thanks!
Thanks for sharing, I was looking at getting a new fit bit because I had stopped receiving txt on mine after the last update, read your thread, tried it and it all works again. Thanks for the information.
