I’m not receiving text or phone call notifications since upgrading to iPhone 8. Everything else in the app is syncing.

I have done ethos with my blaze and still no luck. I don’t have and iPhone 8. I have the iPhone 6s Plus. Is it the new iOS software that it’s not comparable with? I have the newest iOS software and that’s when my notifications stopped working. My boyfriend has the same phone and the blaze as well and is still getting all his notifications. I hope this is fixed soon bc it’s very frustrating! I paid a decent amount for a watch that doesn’t even have the options I wanted working. This is over 3 weeks now I have had this problem! Fitbit should have a solution for this by now!

I have an iPhone 8 and it was not syncing to my charge 2. These steps worked for me. Thanks!

Hi....I just purchased the fitbit charge 2 today. Have everything working fine exception the notifications don't vibrate on the fitbit when they come in. Have the iPhone 8. I see in a later text that the answer was wait for the update....& then later the update had been release & the problem was solved. Checked if I need any updates. I don't, Any suggestions please? On the app, under Accounts/Notifications.....all are turned on....calls, text , calendar events. On the phone, under Bluetooth, Fitbit doesn't show up although at Set up in the app it says the charge 2 is connected. Help!!! 🐵

Hi Marco,
It is January 24, 2018 and this issue still persists. I currently upgraded to an iPhone 8 and I no longer receive text notifications to my Ionic watch. Has Fitbit come up with a solution yet?

Hello!
I recently upgraded to the iPhone 8 and I no longer receive text notifications on my Ionic. I did see a thread of messages discussing same, but "solution" was back in October which stated this:
"Thanks for bringing this to my attention, at this moment, the iPhone 8/8+/X are not yet officially supported devices, our Team is still working to make them fully compatible but some features (such as MobileTrack and Notifications) are not yet working correctly. Thanks for your patience and understanding, please keep an eye on future updates. In the meantime, if there's anything else I can do for you, please feel free to reply."
It is now January 24, 2018 and I see that the issue still persists, has a solution been found?
Thank you.

I was having this problem and then someone said that if you go settings—>notifications—>fitbit and make sure “show in history” and “allow notifications” are turned on then it would all your text notifications to come though. I tried it and it worked for me. Hopefully it’ll work for you too!

Hello everyone, I hope you're doing well. It's nice to see you around @Scandalnavia.
@Scandalnavia, I appreciate your insight about this situation, I'm sure your recommendations will be very helpful for many members of the Community facing the same situation.
If any of you are still having trouble receiving Notifications, I would like to suggest you to check @Scandalnavia's recommendation and go to your phone Setting > Notifications > Fitbit and make sure the following is enabled:
Now, if you have a Charge 2, make sure your tracker is not currently in the "Do Not Disturb" mode by pressing down the button for 2 seconds, a vibration and a message will let you know if Notifications have been turned on or off.
I hope this can be helpful, give it a try and feel free to reply in case you need further assistance.

Has this issue been fixed yet? It is sad going for a phone upgrade and paying a lot for an iphone8+ and not being able to use major features on the Surge. I bought it specifically to receive text and phone call alerts. It worked with my 5s but not with an 8+?
Do you have a timetable for when this issue will be fixed? This original thread started last September.
Thank you!

I was having the same issues with my iPhone X and I am running latest iOS. The fix has been outlined previously. If you just restore from the iCloud or from a backup on your computer to a new iPhone, you seem to lose the text messaging and call functions on your Fitbit device. I use a Charge 2. I deleted the Charge 2 from the bluetooth device settings on the iPhone and then went into the Fitbit App and removed my Charge 2 as well. Then started over as if the Charge 2 was a new device and did the full setup steps including the new bluetooth pairing code. When done, the text message and call notifications worked fine. Hope that helps!

Hello @J3kfarms, thanks for joining the conversation, it's a pleasure for me to welcome you to the Fitbit Community. It's nice to see you around too @Websurfer.
@J3kfarms, thanks for bringing this to my attention. Tell me, have you tried all the troubleshooting steps described above? If so, I would like to suggest to follow the instructions @Websurfer has kindly provided, as these have been proven to be very helpful to resolve this issue.
Additionally, make sure your Surge is currently not on the "Do Not Disturb" mode by swiping the touchscreen until you get to the Settings menu, then find Notifications and make sure they're on.
I hope this can be helpful, give it a try and keep me posted in case you need anything else.
