I bought Alta HR and it does not sync with my iphone for texts and call notifications as advertised. I call customer support and was told that there is a system problem with iphone ios 11.3 that is not syncing with the Alta HR. I was told this has been a problem for several months with no expected resolution. I am thinking of returning it.

Is anyone else not able to sync their Alta HR to texts or calls on iphone ios 11? Customer service has no solution. please help!

Hi there @JoeB23. Great to see you in the Fitbit Community Forums! 🙂

I'm very sorry to hear you're having problems getting your Alta HR to receive notifications from your iPhone running iOS 11.3 😕

I'd like to clarify if you're having problems to get your tracker to sync in general or if it is strictly just for the text and call notifications. If that was the case, which I'm pretty sure it is, there's one more thing I can recommend that you could try.

For this, go to your iPhone settings and then go to Notifications, then go to Messages and here, make sure to enable the option that says "Show in history". After that, see if there's any improvement on your notifications. As you were told, this is a known problem and our team is working on getting it resolved as soon as possible.

Thanks a lot for your comprehension and if you need anything else, I'm here to help!

Ps. I've moved your post to the iOS app board for categorization purposes.

Thank you very much for reaching out to me, providing a possible solution.

I wanted to share with you that over the weekend, I called Apple helpdesk and they suggested that I power down my iphone and then re-boot it, After we then went through the instructions, it worked!

Now all texts and calls are notified on my wife's Alta HR immediately.

I think this might be shared as a possible solution.

Thanks again to everyone!

Hey @JoeB23! Thanks for getting back and it's great to hear such good news! 😄

I'm happy to hear that it's all working! Now, after rebooting your iPhone, what instructions did you specifically followed? I'm asking this to -as you mention- share it as a solution for others who might be facing the same problem.

Thanks for your time with this in advance!

I went to Bluetooth and forgot the AltaHR device and then followed the installation instructions.

I hope that helps!
