My inspire HR does not receive notifications from my iPhone. I’ve raised this twice with tech support & followed all steps shown on help page. Keep being told they are working on a fix but don’t know when it will be available. Very disappointed. Lots of money on something not fit for purpose. Please tell me when this will be fixed? Thank you.

Hello again @EmLouMil

Thank you for providing me with that information. Great news your iPhone 8 is indeed compatible with with Fitbit App. Now let’s tackle this notification issue. Let’s try this:

go to your iPhone then:

iOS Settings > Notifications > Messages > Show Previews > Always (Default)

also iOS settings>notifications>Fitbit> ON

On your iPhone's settings, tap on "Bluetooth".

  1. Then tap on "i" button next to your Fitbit device's name.
  2. Turn on toggle switch next to "Share System Notifications"
  3. Then test the notifications one more time.

😃 please let me know if this helps and resolves your issue

Hello again @EmLouMil

I'm sorry this didn’t work for you. I have read that some people have had success deleting their Fitbit App from their device, restarting their device and reinstalling the Fitbit App from the App Store. The theory being that the Fitbit App plays better with the new iOS update because I the app was installed after the update. After the instal test your notifications if issue persist then repeat the instructions from the previous post. It’s totally up to you. You will not lose data doing this. If you decide to try this let me know if it resolves your issue.

No this did not work either. This is very frustrating. I have an expensive product that is not fit for purpose. When will Fitbit fix this issue?

Hello again @EmLouMil

I see your Fitbit is still not getting notifications. The only other help I can provide is this:

First open your Fitbit app

Tap your profile picture in upper left

scroll down to the name of your Fitbit and tap it (It’s located just under “My Family”

scroll down and tap notifications

enable the notifications you want in green

now simply tap “today” at the bottom of your screen to get back to the main page

Now lets make sure your iOS device is set up correctly:

go to:

device iOS settings>location services >Fitbit>Always on

also Go to:

iOS setting>Fitbit>Location>Always on

also go to:

iOS settings >notifications >messages>Select always under show previews

Now Go to your Bluetooth:

  1. Tap the "i" icon next to the name of your Fitbit device
  2. Turn on the Share System Notifications.

***Your previews will show but this is only a workaround for now. I do know Fitbit is aware of the issue and will hopefully fix the issue soon in an update***

😃 Hopefully something here will help. Please keep me updated

Hello again  @EmLouMil

Yes I believe I can answer your question about it reverting back to “ask”. My answer will not make sense, but try to follow along with my instructions. It’s an odd way I figured out to resolve this “ask” issue but I guess at the end of the day what matters is we get things up and running again. 😉 Let’s start by tapping your exercise tile in the Fitbit app. If you don’t have the exercise tile showing in the main page of the Fitbit app (where all your current challenges are) then tap Discover at the bottom left, then tap Health & Fitness Stats, then find exercise and tap it. Look to the bottom and tap “Add to today”.... that will pop you back to the main page. Now find the exercise tile and tap it. Look to the upper left and tap the stopwatch icon. Now tap “Enable Location Services” , then open settings and make your selection. (If it doesn’t let you select always then select when using the app) .....now go back to the Fitbit app and answer WiFi prompt. Now  go directly to your iOS device setting and now you can change it to always.

😃 Please get back with me to let me know if this did indeed solve this issue.

Hello again @EmLouMil

I’m happy I was at least able to get it up and running for a bit. Did something change? Like an update or something? Relook at all the settings again from my instructions in my previous post and see if something got disabled somehow. If nothing changed then my only advice would be to keep an eye out on this thread here: https://community.fitbit.com/t5/iOS-App/Stopped-seeing-notifications-after-updating-to-iOS-13/m-p/38... Here you will find the most updated information on the notifications issue. I’m sorry I couldn’t be more help.
