Pace discrepancies between device, dashboard, and exercise detail

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I often go on 5-8 mile runs with my device.  While running I use the real-time pace display option to see jeep my pace on track.  When I finish my run and select ‘finish’ on my device, the pace appears to be an accurate average of my run.

When I sync the device with the app, an entirely different average pace is displayed on the dashboard.  For example, it will display a 10 minute average, as opposed to an 8 minute logged on the device.

When I select the exercise event on the dashboard to see more details (such as tots calories burned), a completely different average pace value is displayed.  It does not match what was displayed on the device or the app dashboard.

Example instance: today my device displayed an average pace of 8min 10sec when I finished my run and needed the exercise tracking.  After sync, my app dashboard displayed a pace of 10min 2sec.  The detail page for the exercise in the app displayed an average pace of 8min 46sec.

The fact that this product cannot consistently report basic data is troubling and confusing.  I can’t be the only one with this issue.  What is FitBit doing to address this?

Thanks for the detailed information shared on your post. Just to confirm are you tracking your exercise using only your Fitbit device or MobileRun in the Fitbit app? Or, did you use both at the same time? If you used both at the same time, I would like to suggest you to only use one, preferably your Fitbit tracker.

Take in consideration that Fitbit devices calculate distance by multiplying your walking steps by your walking stride length and multiplying your running steps by your running stride length. We estimate your stride lengths using your height and sex.

If you prefer to measure your walking and running stride lengths yourself and enter them manually, see How do I measure and adjust my stride length?

If you continue getting pace discrepancies, please provide me some screenshots about this so I can take a look and continue assisting you from there. Click here to see how to attach a picture.

See you around.

Hello,

I amusing only the Fitbit device to track my run. I do not use Mobile Run.

This is not an occasional occurrence. This happens each time I use log an
exercise.

See below for screenshots:
