Privacy settings changed by themselves

Hello,

The following settings were enabled in my profile without my knowing it / realizing it. I never remember seeing these before, when I set my settings years ago:

Privacy Settings: Statistics: Lifetime Steps & Graphs

Set to Friends

Graphs: Steps, Distance and Floors Graphs

Set to Friends

Despite these settings being on, when I look at my profile in a friend's app, it does not show them.

However, in the profile preview, when logged in as myself, when I select "View as: Friends" the following information appears:

 Statistics: Lifetime Steps & Graphs

I'm wondering what the Graphs settings are for, and if new settings were set to "Friends" without notifying customers.

Hi @unwiseparrot. Welcome to the Community Forums.

Thanks for sharing detailed information about this situation. It's odd that the Privacy settings have changed by themselves as they can only be adjusted in your account settings. I appreciate you for bringing this to my attention and if you notice something similar in the next days, please let me know so I can further investigate.

About your data not being visible to your friends despite your account's settings, to further investigate I'll need you to take a screenshot of the Privacy settings within the Fitbit app. Also, please ask your friends to send you a screenshot of what is displayed on their end. Make sure their friends and any personal information is covered for security. For instructions to attach a screenshot, check this post.

I'll look forward to your reply.
