Why are the sleep scores and data displayed differently? I assume it’s the new ios update, but I preferred the former presentation.
Moderator Edit: Clarified subject
I HATE the new design. After many tears of staying loyal to fitbit, I am now researching a new device - probably moving to Apple - and it is 100% because of the way the new interface is on the app and the horrible look of “sleep”!
Fully agreed. The sleep log has been my primary reason for choosing Fitbit, & now it’s hard to read and unappealing. My friend has an Apple watch. I’ll be asking her more about their app’s displays. Hope the developers will respond to the abundant user dissatisfaction here, and return the sleep display to its former vibrancy.
I don’t see an April 23 update in the App Store. The last update I did was last week to 4.15
Best AnswerI updated again yesterday when it popped up (April 23), hopeful of a restoration of the old sleep design. Still 4.15, still horrible. No change that I could decipher.
Totally agree, me and my husband are exactly the same. Lifelong apple users apart from the health tracker as we preferred the Fitbit interface but now it is not worth sticking with Fitbit.
Since Fitbit has conveniently disabled comments on other topics regarding the app's woeful update for the past 8 months or so, I think this change of sleep visuals is really showing how tone deaf Fitbit is to their customers' feedback. Changing the whole single view of steps and its history to this clunky large font week by week summary followed by some prompts to get Fitbit premium features, in presentation which completely wastes screen space has universally been panned by users on all platforms.
The only respite was that they left the sleep stats and presentation alone. I didn't think Fitbit can drive customers away faster than they have already done, but adopting that hated user interface, and porting it to sleep now. Like, what the heck. That chart is a complete mess, and an unreadable batch of goobly goop. Free information which was available before now requires Premium? I would rather give my money away to a Nigerian prince phone scam than sign up for Premium. After that Fitbit has done to their customers, they don't deserve a dime more from us. I have loved Fitbit since I started losing weight using it almost 10 years ago. I continued to buy their products when others have recommended other brands. Part of why I stuck around was the intuitive and easy to use and read app. Now, that that is being destroyed wholesale, there is really no reason for me to buy another Fitbit. Rather than farm out their development to third world countries, it may be prudent for Fitbit to consider what their global customers actually need, not what Fitbit thinks they need.
