This thread is for iOS customers on OS 13.3 who are unable to receive notifications.
Before you can receive notifications from your phone on your Fitbit device, it’s important that you carefully review and update your notifications settings on your iPhone.
The required settings changed with the introduction of iOS 13. Please make sure you follow all the instructions in the quick tip section here.

I have a Fitbit Versa and an iPhone 6s. Both are as current as possible with respect to updates, as is my Fitbit app. After I updated my phone to iOS 13, I stopped receiving notifications on my Versa. This was a while ago - I've been trying to figure out it on my own, and so I've already tried all of the actions I've seen recommended on this forum. Is there any way to get this feature back? The ability to see notifications on my Fitbit was definitely the most useful feature of the device, and I'd really like to be able to see them again.
Best AnswerWas debating between a Fitbit Ionic and a new Apple Watch.... Then I stumbled upon this thread. My Charge 2 hasn't displayed text messages ever since I updated to an iPhone 11 ProMax... Reading through the numerous post on this subject it seems Fitbit developers are incapable of fixing this issue or do not feel it is a priority... That being said I'll not spend any more money on their products after wasting too much of my life on their "fixes"... I'll be upgrading to Charge 2, though not to another one of your products...
Best AnswerI have had a Fitbit since 2012. I have had the Versa since it has been out. I have been waiting for a fix since the IOS 13 update. It has been a very long time. As getting texts and calls sent to my versa was one of the main reasons why I got it my watch is essentially useless. If this can not be fixed as it seems then I am going to throw this garbage out and get a Apple Watch for the first time ever and tell everyone to stay away from Fitbit as they no longer care if people can properly use the products that they payed so much for.
Ever since the iOS update in the fall, I haven’t been able to see my texts on my versa. I have do all to restarts and tricks that have been listed in previous forums. Is there a chance that this will be fixed? I’m kind of upset that I spent all this money on a tracker that connects to my phone to have it NOT connect.
Best AnswerI have done everything to get my text notifications on my HR and nothing! I get calls and that’s it! This has been happening for months and I’m sick of doing the same things over and over to try and fix it. Everything is up to date and still nothing. I’ve very disappointed in Fitbit....looks like it’s time to find a different way to track all my stuff.
Hi there,
i have responded 5-10 times trying to help others. Please look at my full response elsewhere.
i had the same frustration as you. The resolution is different for different Fitbit owners so one solution doesn’t fit all.
i for help from an experienced FitBit support person. That solution involved a few more steps than documented online. I wrote down what I did shortly after the support call and I hope I got all the details. I’m pretty convinced that if you follow the instructions in my previous responses you can get you FirBit to work. It involves uninstalling the app, restating your watching, removing the Bluetooth connection and redoing that plus settings within Apple settings Ana the firbit app settings.
It took 5-10 minutes with a Fitbit support person to get it all working and it is working beautifully know.

I did uninstall the app. So thank you but it didn’t work for me.
Moderator edit: format
I have the Fitbit Versa 2 and as soon as I upgraded my phone to the iPhone 11, it no longer supports text messages. I can read all other messages (WhatsApp, phone calls), etc but text messages don’t come through. I’ve restarted the watch, updated my Fitbit app with no luck. Is there going to be a Fitbit update that will allow us to read text messages? This is half the reason I decided on a Fitbit so it is very disappointing the feature no longer works. Thanks!
Best AnswerI have since V3.18 the same problems with this garbage
