Fitbit Update 04/18/2018: Hey everyone -- Our team has resolved this issue, which means you should be able to sync your sleep logs from last night and the app will display your actual hours slept as opposed to 0 time asleep. Thanks for your patience as we worked to the get this resolved as quickly as possible. I will be closing this thread as the issue is resolved.

Fitbit Update 04/17/2018: We're aware of an issue where users who logged sleep may see their time asleep as 0 minutes.

We're working on getting this resolved as quickly as possible. In the meantime, we have a workaround:

Workaround:

  • Manually edit your sleep log (hit the "edit" button at the top right of the app and change your start OR end time by 1 minute.
  • Save the change
  • This will recalculate your sleep and should resolve the issue.

Please note I have merged several threads with this issue. I will have more information for you once this has been fully resolved. Thanks for your reports and continued patience as we work on a fix.

Please can you tell me exactly how I ‘change the time by 1 minute’ please? (Simple instructions appreciated 🙂

This doesn’t work. If you do this you loose the info on the sleep cycles. What I have noticed is if you leave it alone, it appears the system fills it in. I originally posted my question about a month ago. All but the last week are filled out.

Hello everyone, I hope you're having a great day! Smiley Happy

Indeed, we had experienced an issue that's showing your sleep logs at "0 time asleep" which is affecting the app itself and not the tracker. I appreciate you've reported this, and I would like to suggest to edit the sleep log and move the start time back 1 minute. Please note that when you edit a sleep log and you already have sleep stages, the app will recalculate them, not delete or lose them.

Thanks for your patience and understanding, give it a try and let me know the outcome!

Tap on the sleep log, click edit log and then save and it will recalculate.

Just tried this. It did not work, unfortunately. Though, it seems that when I adjusted the start time by 1 minute, it actually recalculated and worked.

I tried this and it appeared to work.  I think it "smoothed" the stages a bit - far fewer little awake blips.  I then thought I'd add the lost minute back in so changed the time back.  It reduced the time asleep by a minute!

A bit clunky.  Fitbit need to fix the service really.

@jeandenys  Fitbit is aware of the problem.  It is not tracker specific and it is not platform specific.  If you go to the sleep log and edit the log -- you just need to change you go to sleep or wake up time by one minute and it will display properly.

I hope Fitbit gets this fixed soon.

I edited the log but made no changes to either time and saved. It recalculated and fixed the problem.

Same thing.  My Fitbit app says 0 hours sleep and it recorded wake up and sleep time.  This is from the app on the iPhone X

I tried editing my sleep log and it still didn't work!  I have an Alta.

Same issue with graph show but minutes not reflected and listed as 0. I tried the suggestion of editing the sleep goals section and that did not resolve the issue.

Nothing works. Deleted app, reinstalled. Edited sleep settings multiple times. The graph is correct – but it’s only showing a few hours of sleep in the total & the individual cycles are nearly nil. Hope this issue is resolved soon!

Go to sleep stage time like 9 to 305 edit it to 307 for that day edit time change by a couple minutes
