Same data for consecutive days

On my Versa 2 the app has recently started shown the same data for consecutive days. Shows 7034 steps today, 7034 steps yesterday &  7035 steps Monday. The previous days are correct. If I close & restart app it sorts out, but after an hour or so problem back again.

On line chat support say restart app (which I’d told home I already had), resrtatt phone, turn off Bluetooth & repair, delete app & reinstall then setup again. Done all that but doesn’t fix.

Anyone else having the problem? Any suggestions?

Adding my voice to this list, as I am having the same issues.  I am not sure why this post is tagged as solved?

Since Aug 27, 2024, syncing has not worked properly.  When I do get the app to sync after multiple attempts, it shows the same data for all previous days back to Aug 27.  So yesterday's data were right, but it was the same data all the way back to Aug 27.  Today, yesterday's data are replaced with today's data, again all the way back to Aug 27.  It also shows the wrong data - for example, the app shows 16mins of sleep data for last night even though I do not use the Fitbit at night.  The history stats are also not working properly.  The bar graph of weekly data only shows data for yesterday, even though I use the Fitbit every day.  I have tried all of the fixes, multiple times each - restarting the Fitbit, logging out of the app, removing and reinstalling the app. Even when I log into the web dashboard the data are all wrong, though I did a trial download of a month's worth of data and it seems to be okay.

Why is this marked solved when so many people are still having this issue?

And if the online browser dashboard was the only place you could see the correct data, why was that discontinued?

Very frustrating!!!!  I have been experiencing this for several days now.  I have deleted app and reinstalled it, I have unpaired and re-paired the ONE and looked for app updates in the app store - NADA.  And of course the dashboard is no longer available at fitbit.com.

I'll keep trying but when I look at the dates of posts from other users it seems this has been going on for awhile,  Not sure how serious the fitbit team is about resolving

Thank you - this is frustrating but it is encouraging to see a recent note from the support team

Hello, I have a Fitbit one. Hasn’t skipped a beat since I bought it, however at the moment when I sync, it shows same number of steps when I check yesterday and the day prior etc etc currently just over 10,000. The last time I synced (about a week ago) it did the same thing at 12,500 steps. When I go to month view it’s all blank going back to August 25th. I have plugged it in and reset it, I have ‘removed this device’, but still having the same problem. Any suggestions?

Yup, join the crowd! It’s so frustrating; it’s been weeks now, and Google has provided not so much as a guesstimate on when it might be fixed.

"I will report here if I find out more"

IF you find out more?  This is an ongoing issue affecting many of us for weeks now as we try to track our fitness.  Fix it and tell us WHEN it's fixed!

Hi, this is really annoying and the app is virtually useless.  do you know when this will be fixed?

I am so disappointed with this issue with my Charge 6 that I purchased 3 weeks ago. Issue started today. App shows that I had 19,737 steps today (if you look at the bar hourly chart, I only had half that amount of steps today) and now each day for the last 3 weeks shows that same exact amount of steps…19,737.

Our team is still investigating this and this situation is one of their priorities.
I'll update the thread, when I receive further information, like a time frame or other to inform you all.

This is super frustrating! It seems the app has lost all the old data! (I hope hope hope hope not!!)

Is there any other platform through which I can see the old data other than the iOS fitbit app?

My Fitbit One started having this issue AUGUST 18, 2024.  I've done the troubleshooting many, many times with no luck and have patiently waited for a fix.  At this point, I don't think we will be provided a solution, fix, or whatever you want to call it.  I can't understand how a company this big (Fitbit/Google) can have a problem affecting a vast number of users while the generic answer of "our team is still investigating ..." is posted, yet there is still no solution.  It's been a problem for 4-5 weeks - that tells me this is not a "priority" and that the next post from Fitbit will be a statement telling me to 'upgrade' and/or buy a new device.  C'mon!

This makes me sad - I've had my Fitbit One for 10 years and have worn it every single day.  I loved having a device that I could clip on my bra, centered on my body which provided an accurate count.  Do I have to scrap my beloved One and buy a different brand altogether that will be better supported when/if issues arise?   I'm pissed, obviously - and I doubt I'm the only one.

If you read the thread, this is not just occurring with the Fitbit One. So, purchasing a new one is not going to resolve the issue with the app. I think the community that is having the issue may have to look at another platform if there is no resolution acceptable to the community that this is affecting. Any suggestions on another platform are appreciated. Thank you

My issues have been resolved ( so far). Although, it’s been resolved , then unresolved intermittently. Fingers crossed it stays fixed.

FWIW, I’m using the Charge 6 on an iPhone 15 Pro Max with the new iOS 18.

Hi. I am using a Sense. The last 2 days things have been working - that has happened before and then it glitches again. So … crossing my fingers it’s fixed for good!

@MartinSimpson I agree with your diagnosis! I have also programmed, and maybe their bugs are too big and too numerous for their "teams" to solve. I have notified them of other bugs and nothing has been done about those bugs either. Personally, I believe that they are using this forum only to collect data to feed to their AI efforts and not to solve the problems. Otherwise, there would be solutions for at least one of the problems I have informed them about.

Hi everybody ! Thank you for your patience, further reports, and keeping the Community in order.

Good news.
I've been informed that this issue with the same data on consecutive days should be solved by now.
Please update the Fitbit App to the newest version ( 4.26.1) . You can search for the update manually in the App Store.
After the update, try looking at the data. If it's the same, please turn your phones off/on again.
