Hi all,
I'm unable to disable the reminder to move notification -- whenever I do, it keeps resetting back to "enabled" after syncing with the device.
How to reproduce
When I press:
* Profile picture -> Charge 4 device image
I can see that there's a button called "Reminder to move" which is set to ON.
There's a button which is called "Sync now" as well.
I press "Reminder to Move", and from the new view I toggle it from ON to OFF.
I go back by pressing the button at the top-left to the previous view where I can see the summary of the settings.
The "Reminder to Move" is showing OFF, but the "Sync now" button turns to "Syncing..." and once that syncing is done, the "Reminder to Move" turns to ON again automatically.
Locale: Sweden/Swedish
Should I return it? I've tried resetting the app, restarting the phone, uninstalling the app and reinstalling it.

Hi I’ve just realised I’m having the same problem on my Versa 3 is it the same procedure? I generally don’t use the Fitbit itself to change anything I usually go into the app.

Welcome to the Fitbit Community, @KelsFit.
The Fitbit app should let you change the wrist setting and keep the changes. However, if you notice the changes are reverted you can try the online Dashboard.
If you have any question, please let us know.

@Kaelalala Hi there. Thanks for the details mentioned and the troubleshooting performed prior to posting.
I appreciate the research done and the thread shared. Glad to hear that after trying those steps, you were able to change from dominant to non-dominant.
See you around.

Thanks @EdsonFitbit it kept reverting back to non dominant in the app but when I used the link you posted above I changed it to dominant and it stated that way. It only happened in the last few weeks since the last update I did on the app. Thanks again for your help 😊

I’m having this same problem (I have the Luxe and an iPhone 11): I go into the Reminders to Move, toggle to OFF, sync, and it automatically toggles the reminders back to ON. I’ve tried all of the solutions in this thread and none have worked. Did you come across anything that worked?

I can’t get my charge 4 to reset to dominant hand. I go through the steps, and as soon as I go back from setting to dominant, the device immediately syncs, and it pops back to non-dominant. I tap to change it to dominant, close that screen, it syncs, and back to non-dominant. Help!!

I’ve been trying to change the setting on my charge 4 from non-dominant wrist to dominate. Once I have selected the appropriate option and come off the setting the app flips back to using the non-dominate setting. I have tried resetting yet still no luck; I was wondering if anybody had any suggestions
Thank you!

Hey! What I always do when the app doesn’t want to cooperate is change the settings you want to change through the Fitbit website on your dashboard. Go to fitbit.com - My Dashboard - on the right hand top corner you'll see a wheel, click on that, go to settings, on the left of your screen you will see your device model - click on that, go to wrist and then choose the dominant setting. Hope it helps. It should override the settings in the app when you open your app and sync the device again. 🙂

It sounds as if this is a widespread issue, and fitbit’s only response is to tell people how to turn it off in the app, which is not working. It toggles back to on every time. Tried uninstalling, installing, rebooting, etc. and nothing works; even if it did work, restarting my phone every time I want to change a setting is unacceptable.
Fitbit, please fix this.

This worked for me today after also trying all the restart / reset options of both app and watch: set the toggle to Off and change the Start time of the (now redundant) reminder period. I’ve tested with changing to both On and Off and every time the setting change only sticks if you change the start time as well. Bug in the app code I guess.

Hi everyone. It's good to see you participating in the Community Forums.
I've moved some of your posts to keep the forums organized. Thanks for your efforts while working on this matter, as well as sharing your feedback. Our team continues working to bring a solution to all our members and while there isn't a time frame to get this fixed, let me recommend using the fitbit.com dashboard to adjust some of your settings such as the reminders to move, wrist settings or daily goals. I have the exact opposite. I purchase a Versa 3 this morning, and when I turn on reminders to move, the app turns it back off! I need my reminders! Any help would be appreciated!

Fixed it. You have to turn it on in two places.
