Is there a way to see the total number of steps I took in 2016? I've been looking on the iphone app and on the dashboard, and I can't seem to find anything.

@Solid22s  From your computer dashboard, tap on Log, then go to your Activities page.  There you can choose Year.  You can adjust the date range in the upper right.

 

Tried, but can't find a way to get the total number in the app.  I can find average steps per month, but not total.

I dont think people understand the question... it is apparently obvious that you can log into the website on a computer and get the total steps.  What was asked here is can i get the total steps for the year on the IPHONE app??  Mine shows a Average for the year but I want to see total.  My friends Android showed TOTAL so i am not sure if this is a Samsung difference or some sort of setting on the iPhone that allows total to be shown.
