Steps no longer automatically update

Since last Thursday 4/28/2016 the steps in my Fitbit app no longer update also sometimes the app does not autosync when I open it. I have to constantly manually sync to get a new step total. I am on an iPhone 6+ my iOS software is 9.3.1
