We are aware of an issue preventing some users from receiving notifications on their iPhone after updating to iOS 13. If you're having trouble receiving notifications and you updated your iPhone or iPad to iOS 13, follow the steps in this article, which are also documented below:

1. GET UP-TO-DATE

  1. Update the Fitbit app.
  2. Make sure you installed the latest version of iOS. Tap Settings > General > Software update to see if an update is available.

2. CHECK YOUR BLUETOOTH SETTINGS

  1. Tap Settings > Bluetooth.
  2. Tap the information icon

next to the name of your Fitbit device.
  3. Turn Share System Notifications off and then back on. If you don't see the Share System Notifications option:
    1. Restart your Fitbit device. For more information, see How do I restart my Fitbit device?
    2. Tap Allow when you receive a message on your iPhone or iPad asking if you want your Fitbit device to show notifications.
    3. Tap the information icon

next to the name of your Fitbit device
    4. Turn on Share System Notifications.

3. CHECK YOUR NOTIFICATION SETTINGS

  1. Tap Settings in the top-left to return to the Settings page > Notifications.
  2.  Make sure Show Previews is set to Always or When Unlocked.
  3. Verify the settings for each app that sends notifications:
App Settings
Calendar
  • Allow Notifications—On
  • Tap each notification type and verify the settings:
    • Alerts > Notification Center—On
    • Show Previews—Always or When Unlocked
Messages
  • Allow Notifications—On
  • Alerts > Notification Center—On
  • Show Previews—Always or When Unlocked
Phone
  • Allow Notifications—On
  • Alerts > Notification Center—On
  • Show Previews—Always or When Unlocked
All other apps
  • Allow Notifications—On
  • Alerts > Notification Center—On
  • Show Previews—Always or When Unlocked

4. RESTART YOUR PHONE

For instructions, see the Apple help article.

If these steps do not resolve the issue for you, please keep your app up to date, and watch this thread for new information. We apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate your patience while our team works to address this.

Try turning on your “preview” messages under your notifications. I turned mine to “only when unlocked” and I’m able to receive my text messages now. ☺️

If that doesn't work then keep an eye on the following post where fitbit are posting updates to the notification issues under iOS 13

Mine won’t connect to Bluetooth and it says it’s connected on my phone, but app won’t update my information off my fit bit

Same with mine. Keeps saying it can’t connect to Bluetooth, even though it’s on (and my Apple Watch connects through Bluetooth just fine). I’ve tried force stopping the app, restarting both phone and Fitbit devices, can’t get anything to sync. Finally removed one of the Fitbit devices and now can’t get it to repair because “Bluetooth need to be turned on”. If I actually turn Bluetooth off though, it puts up a different message. Def a glitch since I just downloaded iOS 13

I was having the same issue. Go to notification in your phone settings, go to message, then make sure on show previews, always is selected. Mine worked fine after that. Hope this helps

Same here. App not working properly with my Inspire HR. Can't update exercices or food etc. Logoff HR from blutooth then reconnected. Tried uninstalling from the app, and reinstalling: not working

Please upate Fitbit App ASAP !

All I did was call Fitbit support and they walked me through some steps and my Fitbit is working normally after I downloaded the new iOS update

I would hold off as long as possible. There are far too many complaints of the same issue. The whole reason I have a Versa is to see texts without being near my phone. Without that feature it’s just a watch.

I've got the same problem. Not a single notification was shown on my fitbit. I removed the fitbit app from my Phone and install the app again. I now can see my notifications again.
