Does NOT work on iOS 13.1 (iPhone X) - FitBit Ionic ... All settings turned on and verified, even factory reset FitBit Ionic and updated watch through App during initial install and still no fix! Help! All Notifications settings are switched on and share system notifications turned on as well.

It works! It works! Okay, so this is what I did. I upgraded to ISO 13.1 on my phone. Then (when I tried to connect my Fitbit it still didn't work). I almost gave up after that and threw the darn thing in the garbage. It's like my device was remembering old settings. So... then I decided to uninstall the Fitbit app... again. And factory reset my Fitbit AGAIN... for the umpteenth time in the last 3 days. So.. this time it was different. I re-installed everything, and right away the bluetooth connected. I couldn't believe it. I tested the phone, and it was working on my Fitbit, but notifications were not. So... I went ahead and turned off bluetooth, then turned it on again. I did that with every notification setting. Still notifications didn't work. Then I went into my wifi setting on my fitbit, and it seemed to be off, even though I know it was set up. I just went ahead and set up to my home wifi one more time. Now, all notifications are working as well as phone, facetime, texts, messenger. Yay! I am sooo sooo happy. But I think it is necessary to factory reset one more time and uninstall and reinstall the Fitbit app AFTER upgrading to ISO 13.1 for the bug fixes. So... maybe this WASN'T a Fitbit problem. Maybe it was ALL Apple.

Ok we have three people using iPhones. One with iphone 10, iphone 8 plus, and iphone 7 plus. All there phone are on iOS 13.1. We have Versa, Versa Lite, and Blaze. The message text has stopped on all three. And from what I am seeing is my weather app is not working on two of the iPhones either. We tried all that was suggested here and still not working. Since I see that this is also a issue with androids phones too I have to think the last update from fitbit is the issue. I hope Fitbit Support team will give us more than we are working on it. This has been on going for way too long. Please let Fitbit Know How unhappy you are on this.

I got mine working. I am so shocked. I was ready to throw in the towel. I have a Fitbit Versa. So... what I did was upgrade my iPhone 8 to IOS 13 this afternoon at work. I came home, hopeful all would be working with Fitbit. But, when I tried connecting, no go. Grr. But I decided to repeat everything I have tried in the last 3 days, ONE. MORE. TIME. And it worked. I uninstalled my Fitbit App, and Factory Reset my Fitbit AFTER upgrading to IOS 13. (I did a hard reset on iPhone after). Then, I set everything up again. I couldn't believe it when Bluetooth started syncing. So.. I tested the phone notification. That worked. I tested Facetime, that worked. But no other notifications seemed to be working. So, I went ahead and turned Bluetooth off and then on again, then did the same with my notifications on my iPhone. Then I set up my wifi on the Fitbit app again, because it seemed not to be on, even though I swear I set it up. It seems like the iPhone is remembering old settings. So now, all my notifications are working, messenger, text, phone, everything. I think maybe it was a bug in the IOS 13 and maybe not Fitbits fault at all. At least mine is working when I followed these steps. And as I type this, my arm is buzzing with a message on messenger from my daughter. I smiled when I looked at my Fitbit. What joy! 🙂 Try this guys, exactly like I did it. ONE. MORE. TIME! Good Luck!

Once I updated to IOS 13 on iPhone 8, all of my notifications work, but my Fitbit blaze continues to vibrate about 8 times after I answer the call. I have reinstalled the app, re-paired my blaze, and rebooted both the Fitbit and the phone. Issue still persists.

I don’t know if anyone is having this problem, but after I updated my iPhone XR to the iOS 13 my Charge 3 has stopped receiving notifications. It will occasionally get them maybe once or twice a day. I have done everything all the posts have said to do, such as, restarting the fit bit, restarting the phone, forgetting the device and then repairing it, it hasn’t worked yet. If anyone knows how to fix this please let me know!

If your text setting is set so it doesn’t give you a preview of the message, you won’t get the notification on your fitbit. Go to settings, notifications, messages, show preview, and it has to be on alway or when unlocked. Worked for me. Good luck!

I updated my iOS last night and since then I haven’t been getting notifications on my Versa. I’ve tried everything there is to try. I’m so frustrated I’m ready to throw it out the window. I hope Fitbit figures it out soon.

I am also not receiving text message notifications and i am on Android. It also happened after the recent fitbit app update. I know the Versa is connected to the phone because when the phone rings i do get the notification on the versa but the text message notifications are not coming through. Please help. I have checked the settings, switched my phone and the versa on and off and nothing has helped.
Thanks

Thank you for the fix but am not super excited that I have to turn on my “show previews” on my phone now in order to receive messages on my ionic. I work in an environment where my cellphone must be sitting out and I don’t feel comfortable that in order to get messages on my FitBit I must have to deal with nosey co-workers reading the messages on my lock screen. I have been a fan of FitBit for years but if this is how it will continue to be, I am not sure I can continue to use your products.

If you have your text messages on private it won’t go through I just saw another posts. She stated she put her text message of privacy to allow always on her iPhone and I tried it and it works!!! Hurray but ppl will be able to read your texts off your phone screen

I change my message preview to always and it worked for me. Sucks to have messages open like that to be read on your screen but watch works now
