Stopped seeing notifications after updating to iOS 13

We are aware of an issue preventing some users from receiving notifications on their iPhone after updating to iOS 13. If you're having trouble receiving notifications and you updated your iPhone or iPad to iOS 13, follow the steps in this article, which are also documented below:

 

1. GET UP-TO-DATE

  1. Update the Fitbit app.
  2. Make sure you installed the latest version of iOS. Tap Settings > General > Software update to see if an update is available.

2. CHECK YOUR BLUETOOTH SETTINGS

  1. Tap Settings > Bluetooth.
  2. Tap the information icon 
     
     next to the name of your Fitbit device.
  3. Turn Share System Notifications off and then back on. If you don't see the Share System Notifications option:
    1. Restart your Fitbit device. For more information, see How do I restart my Fitbit device?
    2. Tap Allow when you receive a message on your iPhone or iPad asking if you want your Fitbit device to show notifications.
    3. Tap the information icon 
       
       next to the name of your Fitbit device
    4. Turn on Share System Notifications.

3. CHECK YOUR NOTIFICATION SETTINGS

  1. Tap Settings in the top-left to return to the Settings page > Notifications.
  2.  Make sure Show Previews is set to Always or When Unlocked.
  3. Verify the settings for each app that sends notifications:
App Settings
Calendar
  • Allow Notifications—On
  • Tap each notification type and verify the settings:
    • Alerts > Notification Center—On
    • Show Previews—Always or When Unlocked
Messages
  • Allow Notifications—On
  • Alerts > Notification Center—On
  • Show Previews—Always or When Unlocked
Phone
  • Allow Notifications—On
  • Alerts > Notification Center—On
  • Show Previews—Always or When Unlocked
All other apps
  • Allow Notifications—On
  • Alerts > Notification Center—On
  • Show Previews—Always or When Unlocked

4. RESTART YOUR PHONE

I'm having the same issue as everyone else. Cannot access my Fitbit login details and am not receiving any emails to reset password. It's so frustrating.

I’ve also tried all of the steps and I am not receiving notifications for text messages or phone calls...I just bought the Fitbit Versa lite....wondering if I should return it?

Same issue has been happening for months now. I waited for an update and updated the app and Fitbit versa. Did all the steps and still not getting text notifications but notifications for everything else. Is this still an issue?

This is very frustrating I purchased the Versa 2 Special Edition about three weeks ago and everything was working fine. I did the update on my iphone as recommended by Fitbit and now I get absolutely no notifications very frustrating following all steps to connect and both. I understand you’re aware of the situation however it’s a brand new purchase and I’m not enjoying it at the moment.

Mine actually started working again after I updated the new firmware update on my Fitbit the other day.

After update everything is working except when I get a call my Blaze keeps buzzing after I answered. Very annoying.

The steps above worked but we shouldn't have to show previews for messages. I had show previews set to Never before and it worked.

I agree! I changed it to "when unlocked" so the previews didn't show on my phone, but they still show on the Versa. I'll take it because it's better than no notifications right now!

I did not delete the app. Only reset my password
It is not fixed. All previous data deleted.

Reset my password and all previous data for 2019 has been deleted.

@Trishyoung  your posts have your employer and phone number on them. You might want to go back and edit them to remove that information, since this is a public forum. Better to stay safe in the online life.

I got a Versa 2 for my birthday and I'm afraid to take it out of the box to test it since I'm still not receiving notifications on the Alta HR since the iOS update. Would using a newer device (the versa 2) fix the problem? Anyone start using a Versa 2 after they had already update to iOS 13?
