I had to turn my notifications for messages on to preview always to get them to appear and had to make sure the notifications/alerts I wanted to see were set to show in the Notification Center, Banners, and Lock Screen.

My Fitbit is no longer receiving notification. I’ve tried what it says above and still nothing. Has anyone found a way around it yet? It’s soooo frustrating

I get every notification except my text messages. I have done all the steps. I am frustrated because I have missed some texts that were important to answer in a timely manner. Anyone found a way to adjust it.

Mine finally started working today but I had to turn on my previews and had to change it to always.

I got it to work again!
I've tried all the steps a few times. What seemed to work is syncing the watch to the app, logging onto the website to check it was there, deleting the app and forgetting the watch from the bluetooth list on the phone. I restarted both the phone and the watch (to be sure it'd forgotten the links) and then reinstalled the app, starting from scratch essentially. It works perfectly now although took a couple of attempts to get "WhatsApp" listed in the notifications list of the Fitbit app.
I imagine it's the complete reinstall that is the key step. Fitbit should update their instructions!

I don't think you should return it. It's just a software issue. I didn't have a problem with mine until I updated the software. Hopefully they can sort this out soon.

Ok so I believe I fixed the text message issue...for Apple iPhone X I went to Settings>Notifications >Messages....then changed Preview to Always.
Hope this helps!

I called both Fitbit and Apple to see what could be done. I refuse to turn on previews. That is NOT an acceptable answer and i told them both as such. (And besides I have seen many people who have posted here that have turned them on and it’s still not working!)
Apple suggested that i go to the apple.com/feedback and leave feedback under the iphone section which i did. And i urge all of you to do the same so that they know just how frustrated we are!
I am working with a supervisor at Fitbit who is going to check with another team on Monday and call me back but i am not holding my breath that this will be resolved anytime soon. It sounds like Fitbit needs to do an update but that they have to work with Apple to make sure that this will work with their new settings.
VERY FRUSTRATING

This is still an issue for me.l, I’ve tried several times to try the steps above but it doesn’t work! I’ve emailed fitbit and they said they are working on it.... it’s been over 2 weeks now. Is it ever going to be fixed? Is everyone else still having problems with this??
